She has found a gem! Woman gives her number to a man she met at Tinder – and gets tickled when he floods her phone with photos from his impressive ROCK collection
- A Tumbler user shared the exchange she had with a Tinder match named Dylan
- Instead of asking the woman on a date, he started to share his passion: rocks
- He has sent her various photos of various stones from his collection, including quartz and sulfur
- The woman says ‘it is the best thing that ever came from Tinder’
An unknown woman probably thought she would score a date when she gave her phone number to a man she agreed with on Tinder.
Instead, she got pictures of the rock hard … rocks. Literally.
Former Tumblr user ‘softandanxious’ shared the story and revealed how she had passed her grades to a man in the dating app and was surprised – but delighted – when he started sending her pictures of his huge rock collection.
Rock blocked! A Tumblr user said that after she had given her phone number to a man on Tinder, he had just sent her a text message with photos of his rock collection
Don’t take her for granite – be a little boulder! He sent her many photos of rocks and minerals that he was proud of
“I gave this guy my number and all he did is send me pictures of his rock collection, and it’s the best thing that ever comes from tinder,” the young woman wrote.
The original message appears to have been shared about four years ago, but has since been deleted. Fortunately, the screenshots that the woman saved from the text message exchanged and lived on.
The first text that saved Dylan’s wife contains a photo of a pink and green ‘watermelon’ stone.
The woman answered excitedly and told him it looked “sick.”
‘I know?’ the man answered. “Look here, you’ll love this,” he said, presumably before sending another rock photo.

He also sent an image of sulfur and wrote that it is surprising that “something so stinking could be so beautiful.”
He told her he has an “addiction” and continues to collect rocks and minerals before sending her another image of a fluorite gem.
He continued to send photos, including one from a large smoky quartz and later another from sapphires.
Although sending rocks is hardly romantic on the surface, the woman seems to have found it amusing at least – if not a major change, because Dylan shares something that he was passionate about.
The screengrabs have continued to make the rounds on Tumbler, Reddit and now BoredPanda this week, causing more and more internet users to be delighted.
