Just hours after it made headlines, X user @imcxllumbtw recreated the ‘disaster’ in The Sims.
“The §35 Willy Wonka Experience has officially opened in SimCity,” they tweeted, along with two photos of the recreation.
The first image shows the nearly empty warehouse, while the second shows a somber-looking woman dressed as Oompa Loompa, conducting a science experiment.

X user @haztecamarera posted a series of photos of his gamified version, including the actor who played Willy Wonka, the Oompa Loompa, and even the strange ‘Unknown’ character.
“Absolutely brilliant work,” one fan responded, while another added: “This is modern art, thank you for your service.”
According to its creator, the SimCity version only took 30 minutes to create, which one user suggested was “probably double” the time spent on the original event.
