She added that she “sacrificed a lot” to go on The Voice.
“It takes a lot to be here – a lot from my life, a lot from my time, and a short trip takes a lot of sacrifice,” said Soma.
Soma ended by saying that she continues to make music after the show.

On Tuesday’s show, Soma shot the judges after her mentor, Guy Sebastian, chose her in the playoff round.
Soma, who had played the Brandy & Monica track The Boy Is Mine complete with a rap segment, was told by Guy: ‘I feel like I unlocked something you need to work on, but you need time to to work on it. ‘
“But I just don’t think this particular time in your life on this particular show is right for you now.”

Shocked and angry, a shocked Soma shot back: “OK, well, the thing is I didn’t really want to get on the show!
“I was convinced to come here, be here, stand here and do this for you. And it is daunting. ‘
She continued her rant, lashing out at the judges, suggesting that their advice was not sincere to her.
“Your advice that you all give, it’s like, is that really? I’d like to know, you know, what you really think. Do I really have what it takes to be a musician? she asked.
Kelly Rowland intervened to calm her down while Guy looked absolutely appalled.
Angry: “Okay, well, the thing is I didn’t really want to get on the show!” Soma said
“Take a deep breath, no one is going to waste their time and just tell you something because it sounds good,” Kelly said.
But Soma was not restrained and continued, “I find it discouraging that you don’t have enough time to get to know me. You don’t know why I’m in my shell. ‘
Guy reacted cautiously, telling her, “We can only dive with our artists as much as they let us dive in.
“If you don’t tell me what keeps you from being the artist you need to be, what can I do?”

He added that Soma, who has had ‘traumatic experiences’ in her past, said she must be open to overcome them.
Guy told her, “I think you have something really special, but you have to trust and deal with the things that are holding you back.”
The final insult came when Guy didn’t choose Soma as his wild card, instead chose Matt Gresham and completely eliminated Soma from The Voice.
