John Legend used his save button in the final minute of Tuesday’s episode of The Voice to keep sister duo The Marilynds alive as the Battle Rounds continue.
The sisters, Lindsey and Casey Staniszewski, both from Maryland, were stunned when he survived.

The Marilynds had just thanked John for working with them, but then John immediately pressed his button to save them.
John said the duo deserved to be saved.
“Oh my God, I’m so excited that we keep moving forward. I’m so happy,” said Cassie, 31, as she posed with her sister Lindsey, 34.
Then John, 43, came up from behind and hugged them both.

“I think they have something special to offer in this competition,” said John. They are a very convincing group. And I think their pop lane is unique to mine. I think they’re going to do something really special.
The Marylinds just lost in the Battle Round to contestant John Barrigita Pastola, 17, of Serena Park, Md., after they all performed the BeeGees’ “How Deep Is Your Love.”
“There’s nothing better than sibling chemistry,” Jasmine Sullivan, John’s counselor, said during the rehearsals. “It’s a combination you can’t replicate.”

When they finished the song, Camila Cabello, 25, told Barrigita her voice sounded easy and sweet.
Gwen Stefani, 53, added, “Barrigita had your personality come out and it was one of a kind.”
John eventually chose Barrigetta as the winner of the round.

In his confession, John said, “Paregita was loved by all the coaches in the blinds and she showed us why.” She has a lovely tone and is very mature, outgoing, and sweet. And he has such a magical presence. So I had to choose Parigita.
The show opened with Camilla contestants Eric Hu, 22, of Orangeburg, South Carolina, battling Sidney Kronmiller while performing Lady Gaga’s paparazzi. Team advisor Charlie Puth, 30, gave them and Camilla tips to improve performance ahead of the final performance.
“It was crazy to hear Charlie Puth give us pointers because he was such an influence from so long ago,” Sydney, 25, of Ogden, Utah, said in the confession.
First up: The show opened with Camilla contestants Eric Ho, 22, of Orangeburg, SC, battling Sidney Kronmiller during their performance of Paparazzi by Lady Gaga.
Sydney said she went to Berklee School of Music because Charlie went to school.
“I think that will be soon,” Camila said in the confession.
“This tour is going to be especially difficult for Camila,” Charlie said on camera. “The person who attracts everyone will be the real winner.”

When they finished, the judges were stunned.
“I really loved that performance because it was so weird,” Gwen said. ‘And I mean that in a good way. Like, great stranger.
Gwen told Eric he was singing like a pop singer and won her over. John said he admired Sydney but also loved listening to Eric’s voice.
“Sydney your voice is shocking. If it was on the radio, I would have turned it on,” said Blake.
Camilla eventually chooses Eric as the winner of the battle.

Blake’s team contestants Penny Wiig, 29, of Paulson, Montana, and Brayden Lab, 15, of Grass Lake, Michigan, went after and met their advisor, country singer Jimmy Allen.
“I just wanted to see which one would stand out as the best male singer,” Blake said on camera.
Blake gave them the country song Pretty Hard by Parker McCollum. Blake and Jamie encouraged them to be believable.

“The first time I met Taylor Swift she was 16 years old,” Blake told Brayden. “She didn’t realize that the world was literally at her fingertips and that you had that quality, but you have to start singing that way.”
Benny was nervous about singing a country song when he was more popular. Jimmy encourages them both to drop their guitars for the battle performance and they agree.
‘That was so amazing,’ Camila said when they finished. “The fact that you are 15 years old is a crazy idea.”

Camila told her that the winner of the round was Brayden. Blake told Brayden he liked the tone in his voice and then declared Brayden the winner of the fight.
“Braden’s got all this potential and stellar quality,” Blake said. “The sky will be the limit.”
Blake’s team contestants, Eva Ullmann and Ansley Burns, competed, with Blake declaring Eva the winner of the fight.

“She’s ready for this and this is her moment,” Blake said of Eva.
Legend contestants SOLsong and Morgan Taylor battled it out to sing Die for You by The Weeknd.
John decides that the winner of the fight is Morgan.

Team contestants Gwen Dacia and Julia Aslanli battled it out against each other. Gwen told Daizia her spirit was incredible and she said she was the winner in the fight.
“Special Daisia,” Camilla said.
