The View co-host Joy Behar made a shocking revelation on Tuesday’s show when she defended Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene after the congresswoman claimed she was assaulted at a restaurant by a “insane” woman and her adult son in a restaurant.
Behar announced on the show’s morning broadcast that she was “on Marjorie’s side.”
“I don’t believe anyone should go up to any of us in public and harass us and that includes you, Marjorie,” Behar said, though she pointed out that Greene is essentially condemning something she’s been accused of doing as well .
The outspoken television personality told audiences of a similar experience that happened to her when she was confronted by an angry protester while out with her husband.
“She’s doing this and now it’s been done to her,” she said. “I have to say I find it regrettable that anyone would do such a thing, including her and the person who did it to her.”

The right-wing congresswoman appeared furious when she shared details of the ambush on Twitter on Monday, even calling the two agitators “demons”

Marjorie Taylor Greene sent the message on Twitter on Monday night at 10:28 p.m
Some of Behar’s co-hosts disagreed, including Sunny Hostin, who shared that she’s also been publicly harassed but not sympathetic.
“She’s this professional troll,” Hostin said.
“She was disrespectful to the President of the United States during the State of the Union address. She bothers people all the time. I need more information.’
Some of the details she wanted to know were the type of restaurant Greene was in, the exchange that took place, and the footage before she could defend her.
But Behar wouldn’t hear another word and said to her colleague, “Let’s just take her word for it in this case.”
Hostin replied, “I can’t.”

On Monday, the right-wing congresswoman appeared furious when she took to Twitter to share details of the ambush, even calling the two agitators “demons.”
“I was attacked in a restaurant tonight by a crazed woman and berated by her adult son,” she wrote.
“They had no respect for the restaurant or the staff or the other people eating or people like me who just have different political views.
“They are self-righteous, insane and completely out of control. I sat at my table working with my staff and didn’t even notice these people until they turned into demons.’
“People used to respect others, even if they had different views. But not anymore. Our country is gone.’
