The View host Joy Behar couldn’t hide her glee Tuesday morning as the panel welcomed Top Gun: Maverick actor Jay Ellis to the show.
As Jay, 42, sat at the table, Joy – who has become one of daytime TV’s most daring presenters – was seen touching his arm as she told him: “This sweater is gorgeous, so cute,” while he replied: “Thank you, I do too!”
“You look good,” the red-headed comedian continued with a big smile on her face as Jay quickly replied, “Thanks. You too, Joy!” but Whoopi Goldberg was quick to notice their flirtatious interaction.
“Uh oh!” the Sister Act star said before referring to Joy, 81, saying: “Look, she’s all in love, I love her! Big smile, look at her teeth!”
Joy blushed and replied shyly, “He’s so cute.”

Co-host Sara Haines agreed, joking: “I know, you don’t want me to look you straight in the eye!” before Joy blurted out: “But don’t call me Mrs Robinson, okay!” – a term used to describe an older woman pursuing someone younger than her.
Sara, 46, fast-forwarded the segment, asking Jay about his new book, Did Everyone Have an Imaginary Friend (Or Just Me)? Adventures in Boyhood, but viewers at home were also distracted by her appearance.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, one person wrote: ‘Jay Ellis is a cutie… I’m like Joy #theview’.
Another posted: “Jay Ellis is pretty cute. I’ve seen him on other things #theview,” while a third person added: “#JayEllis… he’s so gorgeous… I don’t even know what he’s talking about.”
Of course, Joy is no stranger to speaking her mind on The View and has become known for sharing saucy anecdotes and making saucy comments on air.
Last week, he stunned his co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin when he made a Spanish-subtitled joke about former President Donald Trump.
Joy and the panel were discussing Joe Biden’s July 24 address to the nation when Sara pointed out the “contrast” between Trump and the president.
“He is literally giving up power, giving up his dream, giving up the only thing he ever wanted to do, while we have a former president who couldn’t even accept the election results when people said, ‘We don’t want you,'” Sara said.
“You see Biden listening to the rest of his party and Trump saying, ‘I am the party,’ and I was like, ‘This is exactly what everyone needed,’ and I just hope he can finally slow down, relax, and be a dad and a grandfather,” he added, as Joy chimed in, joking, “Trump won’t budge one bit. Just ask Stormy Daniels!”
Alyssa, 35, was visibly stunned and blurted out: “Oh my gosh, Joy!” while laughing nervously, while Sunny Hostin commented: “I have to get you to write my next book with me,” referring to her swashbuckling novels.

During the high-profile trial, the actress revealed intimate details about the alleged encounter.

In her testimony, she also detailed how the former president compared her to his daughter Ivanka and how she spanked him with a magazine that featured him on the cover before the alleged sex.
