The View’s Whoopi Goldberg left her co-stars with their jaws on the floor Thursday after she point-blank asked fellow panelist Alyssa Farah Griffin if she was pregnant — which she quickly denied.
The 67-year-old host derailed the ABC program when she asked the bold, off-the-cuff question in the middle of a discussion about Mitt Romney’s resignation.
A stunned Alyssa, 34, let out an audible gasp and looked visibly shocked before quickly shutting down the speculation.
‘No! Oh my God!’ she insisted. “You can’t say that in front of my mother-in-law. For what? Do I look pregnant?

Alyssa was visibly shocked by Whoopi’s question and quickly shut down the speculation.
“Yes,” Whoopi replied. “I just got a vibe.”
“Please don’t say it’s my stomach!” » Alyssa laughed, prompting an apology from her colleague. ‘I am really sorry’.
Sunny Hostin, 54, then asked the group if they could take bets, leading Alyssa to admit that she and husband Justin Griffin were in the running to start a family together.
“I’m very open to the idea of being pregnant soon,” she shared. “I’m not lucky enough to be pregnant yet.”
“Forgive me,” Whoopi replied. “I see a glow.”
“I’ll take a test when I get home just to be sure,” Alyssa promised, before quickly returning to politics.
Viewers were also left stunned by Whoopi’s outburst, with one branding the question “rude”.

Alyssa is married to Justin Griffin, a graduate of New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Alyssa revealed that although they hope to start a family, she is not pregnant yet

A fourth begged: “Can we normalize not asking people if they are pregnant? There are various reasons why a person might not want anyone to know if they are pregnant or not.
“If people want you to know if they’re pregnant or not, they’ll tell you.”
Alyssa married her husband Justin in November 2021, a year after he proposed.
Members of her family, including her father and stepmother, boycotted her wedding due to her differences with Donald Trump.
Although Alyssa doesn’t have children, she revealed on the show last month that she wanted to be a mom — even though she wasn’t sure before.
“For me, marriage…I always knew I wanted a husband,” she told viewers. “I was never really sure I wanted kids. I always wanted company.
Clarifying her comments, she continued: “I was a child of divorce (which) gave me mixed feelings about having children, but that’s when I met my husband that I said to myself: “Oh, I want children too”.
“It’s different for everyone, but I don’t like external pressure. Because honestly, career matters, life…you know, moments and all those experiences you have should matter too.
Whoopi’s intrusive question comes a day after Sunny shocked her fellow panelists by revealing she gave up being a bridesmaid for her friend because the dress was “ugly.”
