She said, “Sometimes you have to be an a** to be a parent.”
The actress and comedian’s language did not go down well with fans, as they took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
One wrote: ‘Whoopi and Sunny’s [Hostin] foul language was a bit exaggerated today.’
Another wrote: ‘Someone has to push Whoopi back. I have a feeling that one day someone isn’t going to let her intervene, which will honestly drive Whoopi insane. She’s gotten exponentially worse this season, so I hope next time there’s contract negotiations it’s time to go, or work fewer days.”

A third said, ‘…I have no idea what ABC thinks is happening here. They take different women, with no real credibility, and make them shut up day after day and are surprised that one day someone says something stupid?’
“I totally agree about Whoopi. She shuts down any opinion she doesn’t agree with,” another shouted as a fifth threw out, “Out of tune.”
Other fans were unimpressed after the hosts used foul language while discussing gun control.

Some viewers had to “turn off the show” because they didn’t tolerate the unnecessary language, while others had children at home over the summer who could hear them.
Earlier this year, Sharon Osborne said Whoopi Goldberg was not fired from The View for trivializing the Holocaust because “nobody cares” about Jews.
Osbourne, 68, suggested there was an apparent double standard that saw her fired from rival show The Talk in March 2021 for defending Piers Morgan during his war with Meghan Markle, while letting Goldberg keep her coveted job despite the comment in February of this year that “The Holocaust Was Not About Race.”

When The Times asked about the double standards, she said, “I’ll tell you why, because it’s the Jews, and nobody cares.
Osbourne – whose music producer father Don Arden was Jewish – added that she loves Goldberg and made a point about the hypocrisy of showbiz, rather than attacking the Ghost star personally.
The drama with Osbourne began when Morgan left British chat show Good Morning Britain on March 9, 2021 after saying he didn’t believe Meghan Markle was suicidal after her amazing interview with Oprah Winfrey.
When asked to comment on his comments on The Talk the following day, Osbourne said that while she disagreed with Morgan, she supported his right to voice his controversial opinion on TV.
Underwood, who is black, pushed back hard, accusing Osbourne of downplaying Morgan’s comments and “confirming” his “racist” views.
Osbourne was later permanently banned from her role on the show and quit.
