A video captured the moment a fed-up Chicago police officer gives a satisfying and sensible response to an 18-year-old woman after she was reported for a minor argument between drivers.
The incident occurred during a minor traffic dispute, where the young woman allegedly refused to move her car to clear the road, causing a traffic jam. Apparently her mother was driving the vehicle.
The footage, posted by jaybabe59 on TikTok in April, garnered nearly 80,000 likes and more than 1,200 comments, with many praising the police officer for putting the anonymous woman in her place.
The viral clip begins with the officer addressing the young woman and saying, “Just drive.” There’s no lesson here,’ before asking her how old she is.
When she responds and tells the officer she is 18, a woman who appears to be taking the video can be heard chiming in and saying, “No wonder why.”

The officer, apparently exasperated, responded: ‘Can you take the truck and leave? You are not teaching anyone a lesson; You already taught him a lesson, I’m here.’
He becomes increasingly frustrated on camera and tells the woman, ‘Do you know how much stuff is going on in the city? I don’t have time for this nonsense.
“I know you’re only 18, so you don’t understand the real world, but just drive the car forward,” he continued.
—You’re not proving anything. You’re just bothering people.
She responded to the officer: ‘Tell my mom.’
Responding nonchalantly, the police officer said, “This is all on camera.” “Have a good day,” before leaving.
Viewers rallied in support of the officer, with one commenter writing, “This officer needs a raise… because some people swear by it.”
“This cop really made me laugh,” another added,
A third user echoed many other sentiments, saying: “Protect this man at all costs.”

A survey published by the Police Executive Research Forum showed that police officer hiring nationwide has increased after years of decline: More officers were hired in 2023 than in the previous four years.
