They have publicly criticized Nine on several occasions for what they consider to be sensational editing techniques.

Earlier this week, they posted an open letter on social media accusing producers of hiring them under false pretenses.

“You signed us up for your show under the guise of charity and heart,” they wrote.

“Our sincere intentions and passion reduced to an edit – portraying us forcefully arming other team members and outwardly using our mother’s condition for sympathy is disgusting,” they added.

Lisa and Jessica’s mother, Colleen, has Lewy body dementia and a rare neurological condition called progressive supranuclear palsy.

The sisters, who care for their mother full-time, appear on Celebrity Apprentice to raise money for The Brain Foundation.

Their open letter continued: ‘It was you who constantly asked us to repeat our charity and why we were there and you turn and arm our words and our mama’s name – turning them into a knife used to kill us. to stab in the heart.

‘You should be ashamed.’

“What you have done to us is heartbreaking, soul-destroying and the worst thing you could ever do to us as wives, daughters and caretakers,” they added.

“You used us at the most vulnerable time of our lives. This was never a game for us, this is our reality that we fought for.’

After failing to convince the electrician to help complete their artwork during the challenge, the sisters marched to the opposing team’s job site.

‘Where’s the electrician? Where is he? I want to talk to him,” Jess asked.

Camilla walked over to the couple and said, “We’ve made a decision because we have two things left to do with our lovely electrician… We’ve booked him first.”

“Sorry, this has nothing to do with you Camilla. We ask this man to be good at his word…Maybe you keep your integrity and dignity and that can help because I know it’s all nice and fun, but we’re doing this for our mother,” Jess added.

She continued, “I don’t want to argue with you now. I respect you and love you as a person, but this time I would really like a little grace.”

Jessica and Lisa took to Twitter immediately after the episode aired, lashing out at the show for portraying them as “righteous brats” during their clash with Camilla.

‘@CelebrityApprentice the fact you’ve cleared all the facts so we’re going to be brats – expecting favors and using our mom’s condition for benefit is really the lowest you could have gone. I hope you pay your editors well for the souls they sell,” Jess and Lisa tweeted from their joint Twitter account.

“The fact that they edited this to resemble emotional manipulation and extorting people for sympathy is appalling,” the pair added.

They continued, “It’s really incomprehensible to be irradiated during an edit on something so close to our hearts. We are grateful that money has been made for all the charities involved.’
