The secret service tried to intervene in a police investigation after Hunter Biden’s in 2018 The then girlfriend, his brother Hallie’s widow, threw a gun she had found in his car into the trash can of a supermarket because she thought it would kill him.

The bizarre incident was revealed by Politics on Thursday.

Hallie had searched Hunter’s truck because she had “suspicions.” She found a .38 revolver and then drove to Janssen’s Market, a supermarket in Wilmington, where she threw the gun away. She had wrapped it in a black shopping bag and put it in a trash can.

She told Hunter what she had done and he ordered her to go back and get it. When she did, it was gone.

She told the store and the general manager of the store called the police.

The FBI was called to the scene and both Hunter and Hallie were interviewed by police. During one of his interviews, he called two Mexican store employees “suspicious” and said they were “largely illegal.”

The officer asked him if he had been on drugs or drunk and he said, “Look, it’s not like that.

“I think she believes I would kill myself.”

Hunter’s drug and alcohol problems are well documented.

While the pair were being questioned, Secret Service agents went to StarQuest Shooters – where Hunter purchased the gun on Oct. 12 – and asked owner Ron Palmieri if he would give them the sales records.

Ron Palmieri – refused to hand them over. He said he didn’t want the Secret Service to try to hide Hunter’s connection to the weapon if it had been used in a crime.

Within days, the gun reappeared when a man who regularly walked through the store’s trash cans returned it.

No one was arrested or charged and the incident was largely kept secret.

No one in the Biden family was entitled to Secret Service protection at the time, but Politico cites unnamed sources that say agents from the Secret Service offices in Wilmington and Philadelphia played an “ informal ” role in protecting them after Joe left office as vice president in 2017.

Vice presidents are not entitled to lifelong protection from the Secret Service as presidents are.

The Secret Service told Politico that she had no records of any involvement of her agents in the investigation.

Hunter told police during his police interview that he had never asked his father for ‘anything’.

Hunter and Hallie’s relationship was revealed in 2017, two years after Beau’s death. Beau died of a brain tumor.
