A tourist seen walking the streets of Bali covered from head to toe in bandages after falling off a motorcycle was at the time on an action-packed trip through Asia.
James Marsland, a marine engineer, was traveling in a tourist destination in Indonesia when his phone fell out of his pocket.
Instinctively he bent down to grab it, lost control of the motorcycle and crashed onto the asphalt.
A video of Mr Marsland walking the streets of Canggu went viral last week, showing the young man with bandages covering his feet, knees, arms and face.
The owner of the Instagram account that shared the video said he had spoken to Marsland, who managed to avoid serious injuries.
James Marsland was photographed in Canggu sporting multiple bandages.
“I was going slowly and I was wearing a helmet, once you’re on a bicycle the percentage of danger is greater no matter what,” they said.
‘It was an accident. Nothing dangerous or stupid, it just went straight to the asphalt.
“Maybe it’s a fun way to remind people how dangerous it can be to ride a bike and always be very, very careful with your eyes on the road.”
Marsland, who is understood to be from the UK, had been posting snaps from an adventure-filled holiday in Asia before the accident.
In May he traveled to Thailand and completed an advanced diving course.
He shared several photos from the experience, including photos of himself underwater with other divers.

Mr Marsland is understood to be from the UK and has been traveling around Asia, including visits to Thailand and the Maldives.
She also shared photos from night markets and her island-hopping trips around the country.
Marsland also enjoyed time in the Maldives in March, where he snorkeled with nurse sharks and went wakeboarding.
When images of the bandaged-covered Briton first circulated, many joked that Marsland looked like a “mummy.”
‘Bali kisses to the next level. The Mummy. Luckily, still in one piece. Incredible!’ one commented.
“Bali kiss” is the term given to a tourist who falls off his or her scooter or motorbike on the holiday island.
“If you’ve been to Bali this is funny because you see a bunch of white people with bandages everywhere and you know they’re scooter accidents,” one commented.
In May he traveled to Thailand and took an advanced diving course.
Another joked: “That’s more than a kiss, it’s at least second base.”
“I think he was actually on his way to audition for the new Mummy movie,” one said.
Mr Marsland was seen walking cautiously through the streets after the accident.
His arms were completely covered in bandages and he also suffered injuries to his chin, nose and left eyebrow.
His hands and fingers were also bandaged.
The poster in the video said he had been in contact with the tourist and explained that he was not being reckless with his scooter: his phone fell off the bike and when he instinctively went to get it, it crashed.
