The Traitors star, 63, has become the latest celebrity to quit the BBC show, after failing to impress the judges with his chick dish.

After her departure was confirmed, Diane said: “I’m disappointed, but, you know, someone has to go home.”

He also admitted that he rediscovered his love for cooking thanks to the experience.

Diane shared, “This experience has definitely given me back some of my passion for cooking. I can’t wait to host dinner parties again.”

Diane went on to explain how her family convinced her to join the show: ‘It was mainly by persuasion, my kids thought it would be cool.

“They love watching MasterChef Celebrity. They thought it would be fun and, I guess, a bit of a challenge to see if I could start entertaining my clients again. For years, I’ve always had my family and friends around and I’ve loved entertaining my clients.

‘I love trying out new recipes with my friends. If they don’t work, they don’t work. There was some building work going on at our house and I had been without a proper kitchen or a fully working oven for a year when I was asked to take part in ‘Celebrity MasterChef’. I didn’t have a good time!’

‘I was actually practicing some of my ‘MasterChef’ dishes while they were installing a ladder!’

However, after three gruelling challenges in the kitchen, Emma failed to impress judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace enough to earn a place in the next round.

The episode began with a unique test in which the four eager celebrities were divided into two teams: Tamer and Emma as one duo, and Jake and Jamie as the other.

After learning she had lost her place on the show, Emma said: “None of this has felt real to me at all. I can’t believe I’ve made it.”

“I’m proud of myself for what I’ve done. I’m happy to be back home with my kids and husband and relax.”

Meanwhile, the other three contestants applauded as the judges announced they were the quarterfinalists.
