Myles Bremner, 47, inherited the impressive tour of his father Andrew, and found eight bicycles hidden in a secret shed

A shocked son inherited his father's incredible collection of cars and motorcycles worth £ 100,000, some of which he found stored in a secret shed his family knew nothing about.

Myles Bremner, 47, a native of Warwickshire, fondly remembers spending time with Andrew Bremner, holding tools while his father played with old cars, but had no idea how big the collection was until Mr. Bremner died at age 73 in March of this year.

Retired insurance broker Andrew had collected cars and motorcycles since the age of 21, but it was not until his family checked their belongings that they discovered extremely rare cars and motorcycles.

These include a Russian military car and even a Lamborghini tractor, with the total value of the 55 vehicles believed to reach more than £ 100,000.

Myles said: "We always knew that Dad was an enthusiastic collector and hid things, but it was not until we started sorting things that we discovered there was more.

"We found a shed, which we did not even know existed, and we found eight other bikes that we thought had left a long time ago.

"I was completely overwhelmed by the collection.

"He liked to get into the pub on the Lamborghini tractor and took the Dodge Roadster to the Nurburgring track, where he received the slowest lap record.

& # 39; Some of the cars that I will keep since they have special memories, but some of the others are crying out to collectors or shopmates.

"It was at the age of 21 that my father's Italian love story really started, borrowing money, from his boss, to buy himself a birthday present from an Alfa Giulietta Sprint, a very nice car that stayed in our family for the next fifty years, years. & # 39;

The Andrew collection also features rare pieces such as a 1954 Maserati bicycle that took center stage at a lavish garden party in Salon Privé, and a Renault 4 police car direct from France.

Other impressive vehicles that Myles discovered included a Zaz SMZ Invalidka, delivered to former Russian military disabled by a five-year loan, along with a Lamborghini tractor that has been carefully restored and painted.

Myles said: "My father enjoyed the restoration as much as the finished article.

"Long conversations with experts from around the world: a specialist here, an enthusiast.

"But, sometimes, dad likes to show off, a little.

Jim Henshaw, a classic car consultant at Brightwells, said: This is probably the sale of the year for lovers of Italian machinery and something a little peculiar.

"There really is something that interests everyone, from beautifully restored pieces, whose work is one of the best I've seen to restoration projects in their original state.

There are many rare pieces, bits for the conventional inverter and in contrast for the English eccentric. It's worth taking a look. "
