A three-day baby died in the hospital after his mother contracted the coronavirus, a study heard today.
Coolio’s mom Carl Justin Morgan tested positive for Covid-19 before giving birth.
Coolio was born at Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend, South Wales, with a low heart rate.
The investigator learned that he was being transferred to Singleton Hospital in Swansea, but later died.

Coroner Graeme Hughes heard Coolio, whose family lived in nearby Maesteg, died on May 5 when he was three days old.
The investigation was opened in Pontyprid.
It was adjourned to wait for the full results of a post-mortem investigation into the cause of death.
A full hearing will take place later this year.
