A woman present at the taping of a Spotlight special irritated the audience with her question about how Covid vaccines affect the immune system, but was removed from the broadcast.

A leaked recording of a Channel Seven special on Australia’s Covid response reveals an angry audience turning on a panellist.

Spotlight, which aired on Sunday night, covered several aspects of the pandemic response, including border closures, lockdowns, vaccine injuries and long Covid.

It was the topic of vaccines that sparked a heated confrontation that was left off the programme between infectious diseases paediatrician Professor Robert Booy, one of the four panellists in the study, and the audience.

The outburst came after a question from audience member Ayse Goknur Shanal, who proudly declared that she had not received any Covid vaccine.

Ms Goknur Shanal described herself as “one of the few people in the legal sector who stood up to the TGA and the rest of the government establishment on government corruption and medical corruption”.

“Why has there been no research done, three years on, comparing the immune systems of those who received the first dose, the second dose and the third dose and the after-effects and latency periods compared to how the unvaccinated are doing now?” he asked.

“We have a society that suffers from chronic diseases in winter and it is not the unvaccinated.”

Professor Booy said: “Australia has some of the best immunologists in the world” and “we look at responses to vaccination”.

A woman present at the taping of a Spotlight special irritated the audience with her question about how Covid vaccines affect the immune system, but was removed from the broadcast.

“We looked at people who had no exposure to Covid and no vaccination, and we compared their immune systems,” he said. “So you’re wrong.”

“And as for you being healthy, that’s great. I’m so happy for you.”

The programme which aired on Sunday night immediately moved on to another response from another panellist, ANU Associate Professor of Infectious Diseases Dr Sanjaya Senanayake.

However, the leaked audio reveals that the exchange with Professor Booy became much more heated.

The interrogator tried to intervene by saying, “I’m sorry…”

“For people who have had Covid, excuse me, for people who have had Covid, excuse me, let me finish,” Professor Booy said.

“People who have had Covid and those who have not been vaccinated have more severe illness and are more likely to develop long Covid.”

The audience erupted and one man was heard shouting: “Shit!”

“That’s a fucking lie, dude,” another shouted.

“You should give back your license,” added another.

“That’s the biggest lie” and “snake oil salesman” were also heard shouted by audience members.

Spotlight host Michael Usher was forced to step in to restore order.

“I love that you have views,” he told the crowd.

‘Please interrupt. I want to answer as many questions as possible. Don’t swear, I’ll get them in the audience, so please don’t. Go on.’

The leaked audio also revealed that a question about vaccines posed by freelance journalist Alison Bevege was also left on the cutting room floor.

Bevege held up a laminated A4 printout of a large black triangle with its point pointing down and the label Black Triangle Scheme.

“Why don’t most Australians know what this symbol means?” he asked.

‘This was in the box of your vaccine, your genetic vaccine, the mRNA products for COVID-19. This was in the box and in the leaflets. It means that they are provisionally registered.

‘They would have been illegal in 2016. They changed the law in 2018 to allow the marketing of products that had not completed all the tests required for full registration.

‘This symbol meant that you or your doctor should report any possible side effects to the TGA because they are still working on the safety profile of the medicine.

‘Because people didn’t know about this, they didn’t report the side effects.

‘The TGA therefore does not know the exact number of people who were killed and injured by these products.

“That’s why you have an audience full of angry people. Thank you.”

A round of applause was heard from the audience.

While the entire question was cut for the broadcast version of the programme, Professor Senanayake’s response was left in.

“If we’re going to look at really, really, really rare side effects, we’ve used seven to ten billion doses to look at that and we haven’t heard anything unusual at this point, but we’ll keep looking,” he said.

“That’s not true!” Bevege shouted from the audience, seemingly for no apparent reason during the show.

“The data is not being collected in a controlled manner. It is not a test, but rather a matter of giving it to everyone.”

“I don’t agree with that,” Professor Senanayake replied.
