The 30-year-old actor, who played Eddie Munson in season 4 of the Netflix hit, looked very different from the eccentric Hawkins High School student, two years after his heartbreaking final scene.
With his hair cropped, he emerged from the French House pub in Soho, wearing a brown corduroy jacket and wide-leg jeans.
The fourth season of Stranger Things saw the introduction of Eddie, who is the leader of the Hellfire Club, known for his long 80s hairstyle and punk clothing.
But in a tragic twist of fate, the character’s career was short-lived as he heroically sacrificed himself to save his friends.

Last month, the actor recalled the “embarrassing” moment of meeting Taylor Swift, 34, for the first time and the “fucking stupid” thing he said to the singer.
When asked by host Josh Horowitz during an appearance on his Happy Sad Confused podcast If you’ve had any embarrassing moments since becoming famous, one encounter in particular came to mind.
“I met Taylor Swift once and I was like, ‘You’re Taylor Swift.’ She was so funny,” Joseph recalled on Monday’s episode.
The Grammy winner then acknowledged the actor’s work in Stranger Things.
“She said something nice about the show,” Joseph continued, “and I was like, ‘Oh, thank you. You’re Taylor Swift. I meant it as a compliment.'”
Josh laughed at the joke, pointing out that it was actually a compliment.
Joseph replied: “It’s a compliment, no doubt, and I remember thinking it was stupid. But she took it with great humour.”
