Jordyn Evans, owner of Mingle Seasonings, was shocked when her bagel seasoning began disappearing from supermarket shelves across Australia at a rapid rate.

A small Australian business received an unexpected boost overnight thanks to a TikTok trend that saw thousands of people rushing to make a simple cucumber salad.

Jordyn Evans, owner of Mix seasonings, She was shocked when one of her products suddenly sold out without warning.

The trend started when American content creator Logan Moffitt shared a video of his “epic” recipe using a whole cucumber, and it has been viewed more than 33 million times.

The salad also contains bagel seasoning, a popular ingredient in the US of which Mingle is the only Australian supplier, which overnight wreaked “havoc” on the small business.

Australians went crazy trying to recreate the salad, which features cucumber, whipped chive cream cheese, smoked salmon, capers, avocado and red onion.

One Brisbane health expert, Bec Hargrave, even had to be rushed to hospital after cutting her hand on a mandolin while trying to prepare Logan’s viral dish.

Mingle’s version of the product, Whoops We Forgot The Bagel Seasoning, began disappearing from Coles and Woolworths shelves at ten times the normal rate.

Jordyn told FEMAIL that the demand was “unprecedented” and that they “received a lot of direct messages” from fans claiming they couldn’t find the condiment anywhere.

The seasoning

Mingle’s “Oops We Forget the Bagel” seasoning began disappearing from Coles and Woolies shelves across the country as Australians rushed to whip up Logan’s viral cucumber salad.

The business owner was “stumped” until she realised her company produces the only bagel seasoning on Australian supermarket shelves.

“With everyone rushing to make Logan’s salad, our product flew off the shelves and we sold 10 weeks of stock in one week,” he said.

Jordyn begged manufacturers to work through the weekend to get the out-of-stock product back on shelves, and they succeeded in making the “miracle” happen.

The elated business owner also thanked Logan for the increase in sales.

“You have done wonders for our small business and we couldn’t be more grateful,” he gushed.

Some big fans of the condiment said they’d seen this frenzy coming for a while.

“I predicted it. As soon as Logan released this recipe, I went and bought more of his seasoning in case it ran out,” one admitted.

Others complained that a shortage of bagel seasoning wasn’t the only thing standing between Australians and Logan’s world-famous salad.

“The inflation of cucumbers is crazy: they cost 10 dollars a kilo,” wrote one.

“We can’t have nice things anymore,” another agreed.
