A paradise by the beach and a famous celebrity place has been called a black spot of immunization due to an increase in anti-vaxx.

Despite the drastic improvement in vaccination numbers in New South Wales, 94 percent of children, the popular holiday destination of Byron Bay, is reducing the overall number.

The Byron Bay vaccination rate stands at 66.8 percent, the Daily Telegraph reported.

While New South Wales as a whole has drastically improved in terms of vaccination numbers, with 94% of children fully vaccinated for 12 months, the holiday vacation spot in Byron Bay is reducing the overall number

Several councilors in the region are openly anti-vaxx, with some locals sharing an open distrust of medicine and science.

3. Kyogle (Northern NSW) – 85.5 percent

4. Lismore (north of NSW) – 89.7 percent

The Byron Shire Council recently voted to allow propaganda to be displayed against the vaccination campaign in board-owned places.

Dubbed the home of the anti-vaxxers, the quaint suburb of the beach is well below state standards, which on average reach 90 percent.

Although Chris Hemsworth, Matt Damon and Miley Cyrus frequent Byron Bay, locals seem to be stuck inside their alternative bubble, said Dr. Sue Page.

"In that set of alternative lifestyles, they sell homeopathic products or organic foods and any small business is trying to build a market … They are not going to see a doctor because he or she is in the pocket of pharmaceutical companies, Go see a naturopath, "she said.

Daily Mail Australia does not suggest that celebrities who frequent the area support the fight against violence.

In contrast, many of the smaller rural communities have managed to vaccinate 100% of local children.

Gundagai and Boorowa in the Murrumbidgee region of New South Wales, as well as Bombala in southern New South Wales and Blayney in Western New South Wales, have vaccinated all children in their regions.

State laws No Jab No Play have helped strengthen the upward trend of vaccines in recent years in most of the nation.

The law states that children who are not fully immunized will not be able to enroll in daycare or school.
