A police officer was filmed slapping a handcuffed vandal after the suspect had allegedly spit on him.
Officers were called to an address in Morphett Vale, Adelaide on Saturday at 3:45 PM after reporting of three men marking graffiti on real estate.
When they arrived, they arrested the men involved – including a 22-year-old from the area.
On images of the suspect's cousin, the arrest seemed to go smoothly – involving three officers who had successfully handcuffed the vandal.
But about five seconds in the video, which was obtained by 7News, the male officer denounced the accused.
Chaos followed immediately when the man behind the camera launched an exploded tirade and accused the officer of being a & # 39; dirty dog & # 39 ;.
The cameraman seemed to inject himself into the fight when his cousin was maneuvered to the ground.
& # 39; Get my cousin's mistake … you just hit him in the face of your dog, & # 39; cried the man.
& # 39; You love your stupid dog, you are a royal pig. & # 39;
The man continued to criticize the officer for acting his cousin before finally reminding him that he had & # 39; the whole thing on tape & # 39 ;.
& # 39; You have just struck my cousin stupid, why even if we have notified you? & # 39;
Two female officers then demanded that everyone leave the operation until the accused was escorted to the waiting police car.
About five seconds after the video, the male officer seemed to be losing patience and slammed the accused field
A South Australian police spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia that the three accused for filmed police content had run away.
& # 39; The suspects were walking into a nearby house, & she said.
& # 39; It is claimed that he resisted police and abused police during the arrest, including spitting on the face and arm of an officer. & # 39;
The man was accused of marking graffiti, resisting and attacking the police and is expected to appear in Christies Beach Magistrates Court on August 14.
The defendant insisted that he intended to spit on the floor and meant no harm to the officer.
