Found dead: police suspect that Ivan Klyucharev, pictured, may have died in a failed & # 39; Houdini & # 39; attempt
The skeleton of an alleged & # 39; failed Houdini & # 39; was found captivated by a tree in Russia two years after he was found missing.
Ivan Klyucharev, 30, was last seen in May 2017 and a major search had left him until his remains were found in Shatura, 80 miles from Moscow.
Russian police say their main theory is that the fanatic hiker and the survival arts tried to recreate an attempt by Harry Houdini to escape, but failed to pull it out and died in the forest.
But detectives also investigate evidence that he may have died in a bizarre sexual experiment.
They are also investigating whether Klyucharev could have been killed and the crime scene shown as an accident.
The courier body was found in a lying position and he was handcuffed on a chain that was attached to a tree.
Nearby was a single-person tent and a camera pointing towards him, as well as five sets of handcuffs, three metal chains, six padlocks and a book about buttons.
The police are now investigating the camera's memory card and computer, where reports say there is evidence of his interest in BDSM sex.
Some reports say that only his left hand was handcuffed on a chain attached to a tree.

Evidence: The police found five sets of handcuffs, three metal chains, six padlocks and a book about buttons on the spot, as well as a single-person tent and a camera
Outside: Klyucharev, in the photo, was a fan of survival arts who had previously hitched through Russia and often went on hiking trips to remote places
The local resident Eduard Karpov discovered the horrible sight and saw the skull of Klyucharev – still covered by a hoodie – and then revealed the rest of his skeleton covered with leaves.
The Russian Commission of Inquiry said: & # 39; He was on the list of missing persons.
& # 39; It has been established that the man was a member of a community that practiced survival skills in extreme circumstances.
& # 39; Forensic analysis has been ordered to determine the exact cause of death. & # 39;
Commission official Olga Vradiy said: & # 39; Detailed checks are underway to determine all the circumstances.
Victim: Ivan Klyucharev, pictured, was no longer visible since May 2017. His body was found by a local resident who saw his skull and then exposed the rest of the corpse under leaves
Investigators investigate evidence at the place of death. The police consider theories such as an & # 39; Houdini & # 39; attempt, a murder or a bizarre sexual experiment
& # 39; The opinion of forensic experts has been asked to understand the true reason for the man's death. & # 39;
Klyucharev had previously traveled through Russia and often went on hiking trips to remote places.
A friend of the deceased said: & # 39; I can easily imagine he went to the forest and decided to try his luck in this way by chaining himself and throwing away the keys. & # 39;
The Telegram channel said the man's nameless mother had been looking for her son for two years, but it was to no avail.
The forest where he was found had previously been searched several times in vain.
