Morgan Wallen's friend, country singer Ernest, mocked his arrest Sunday for throwing a chair from a Nashville bar by jokingly asking Alexa to

Morgan Wallen could face a serious prison sentence after his most recent drunken escapades and subsequent arrest, but his friend Ernest found plenty to laugh about.

Ernest Keith Smith, a country singer who performs only under his given name, shared a video of himself on Instagram on Monday that poked fun at the 30-year-old superstar’s latest brush with the law.

He made a joking reference to the ‘chair’ Wallen threw from the sixth floor of a bar in downtown Nashville, which reportedly landed on the ground just three feet from police.

Wallen was arrested shortly after Sunday night and his attorney said Monday that he is “cooperating fully with authorities.”

In Ernest’s video on Monday, he filmed himself in the driver’s seat while driving, while captioning the clip: “Alexa, play ‘The Chair’ by George Strait.”

While the caption appeared to be a joke about Wallen’s recent chair-throwing incident, Ernest also poked fun at his friend in a caption written about the video.

“When Morgan asks me if I want to go to Broadway…” he wrote, while driving with a stone face in the video.

Despite what its title said, the video was soundtracked by country star Lainey Wilson’s song I Would If I Could.

Ernest had started her video over a part of the pre-chorus in which she sang: “I would if I could / But I can’t, so I won’t / But I want to.”

However, contrary to what fans might have thought, the ‘Broadway’ of his text was not of Manhattan’s Great White Way of fame, but rather the street in downtown Nashville where the Chiefs bar is located. Erich Church, the place from which Wallen crossed the chair. .

Thus, Ernest’s clip hilariously showed him turning down an invitation to a night out that ended with Wallen’s arrest.

Earlier on Monday, DailyMail.com revealed that Wallen threw his chair from the sixth floor of the bar after learning that his ex-fiancée had recently eloped while bringing the child they share with her.

Wallen was released on bail from the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department after throwing the chair from the Chiefs Bar shortly after 10:45 p.m. Sunday.
