A police officer accused of killing a TV star and her boyfriend was labeled “most likely to become famous” in high school.
Beau Lamarre-Condon has been charged with the murder of Jesse Baird and fellow Qantas flight attendant Luke Davies in Paddington, eastern Sydney.
The revelation that Lamarre-Condon was voted “most likely to become famous” in his 2012 high school yearbook comes as a big change in tracking officers and guns is likely to be imposed on police of New South Wales after the tragedy.
Lamarre-Condon had a history of being obsessed with celebrities in his later school years and the Kirrawee High School yearbook featured a photo of the future police officer holding a photo of himself with Taylor Swift.
He then met Lady Gaga at a 2014 concert and came out as gay through a note he threw on stage to the singer, which she read aloud, revealing his sexuality to his audience of 15,000.

The note, which read ‘Gaga, you are not just my idol but LITERALLY my (savior)’ was her way of thanking the singer for giving her the courage to tell her parents she was gay.
He was taken backstage to meet her after the show and later said in a radio interview that “She came out for me.”
A close friend of his said that meeting Lady Gaga “was his greatest moment and was like a drug for him that he continued to pursue.”
“I remember Sunrise interviewed him after that Lady Gaga moment and he told it to everyone and anyone who would listen,” the friend told the Sunday Telegraph.
Lamarre-Condon pursued that level for years, the friend said, becoming obsessed with celebrities and the fame that came with being photographed or videotaped with them.
He became a high-profile celebrity blogger who interviewed Hollywood heavyweights on the Golden Globes red carpet, posting selfies with the likes of Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, Russel Crowe, Miley Cyrus and Miranda Kerr on your blog.
Even long after becoming a police officer, following in his mother’s footsteps, he was still obsessed with celebrities and was seen following Kourtney Kardashian on February 15, behind the wheel of a gray Tesla near the Sydney suburb of Rose Bay.
And then, shortly after, he allegedly murdered Mr Baird and Mr Davies.
Lamarre-Condon was allegedly seen purchasing an angle grinder, a padlock and weights after the alleged murders.
The alleged use of a police-issued gun in the shootings has led to new calls for closer scrutiny of such weapons.
Although GPS trackers are installed on police-issued radios, they are not used due to objections from the police union.

Lamarre-Condon is pictured on a plane, but many wondered if she was faking the lifestyle she portrayed on social media.
But some senior officers are now calling for the same tracking technology to be installed in weapons.
“Managers from a variety of departments have been asking for these measures to protect their teams for years, but have been repeatedly told it would not happen because the union refuses to support officer monitoring,” one officer said.
The senior officer said GPS trackers should also be fitted inside police-issued weapons so the force knows where the weapons are at any time and can also track them “in exceptional circumstances where officers are not doing the right thing with his weapon.”

‘Did he just find a private jet to pose in front of or did he actually get on the jet? That Hermes leather bag she’s holding is worth over $40,000. “You can’t tell me that’s real,” the friend said.
Another person who knew him said people wondered how he could live the life he documented on social media on a police officer’s salary.
“We always thought she had a sugar daddy or that it was all fake and she had photoshopped the images,” they said.
