The Simpsons have done it again.
Several users on X/Twitter pointed out the latest coincidence involving the long-running Fox cartoon, as a 2000 episode of the Fox series featured Lisa Simpson in a purple suit comparable to the one worn by Vice President Kamala Harris during the inauguration in 2021.
The meme went viral on Sunday when President Joe Biden dropped out of the race and endorsed Harris to take his place in the presidential race, about a month before the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
Actress and Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Claudia Jordan posted a photo of Harris alongside Simpson and wrote, “Not for nothing, but the Simpsons already predicted this…”
Another user commented: “The Simpsons have done it again! Here we have episode 17 of season 11 (from 2000) where we see Lisa Simpson as the first female president of the United States talking about how screwed up the country is after President Trump came to power. And here’s Kamala in the same outfit at Biden’s inauguration.”
