The Secret skincare: Woman reveals how she transformed her acne-prone skin at 30 in just seven weeks

A young woman has shared her dramatic seven-week skin transformation after discovering ‘life-changing’ prescription skincare by The Secret.

Linley Wall, from Western Australia, shared before and after pictures after coming across the Australian products and said she saw results within seven weeks after using just one product: the Acne Night Formula II.

Run by skin clinic owner Dr Clara Hurst and GP Dr Deb Cohen-Jones, the premise of The Secret is providing ‘highly effective solutions’ for cosmetic skin conditions like acne, rosacea, fine lines, skin laxity and pigmentation.

Linley ordered the Acne Night Formula II after being recommended it by her doctors at The Secret, and says ‘I now feel like I can leave the house bare-faced again’.

‘My hormonal acne was really bringing down my self-confidence. I found that no product was working on my skin or helping with my breakouts,’ she told FEMAIL.

After ordering the $200 Acne Night Formula II, Linley first of all had to ‘purge’ her skin in order to rid it of the acne.

‘About six weeks into using it, my skin went purge crazy and a new spot just seemed to pop up on my chin daily,’ she said.

‘Boy was I upset about this. How had my skin gotten worse after all these raving reviews?’

But after emailing the doctors at The Secret for help and advice, she was advised to keep going and add a hydrating serum into the mix.

‘After pushing through and continuing and some check-ins from the doctors, my skin has cleared up dramatically and it’s practically clear,’ Linley said.

She has now moved on to the Cellular Repair range to treat her scarring, as well as the Cellular Repair Night Cream.

‘I can’t recommend The Secret enough for those who struggle with acne (especially crazy hormonal acne like me) or those who want to glow,’ she said.

The Acne Night Formula II blends active ingredients with prescription strength retinoid to remove harmful, acne and inflammation-causing bacteria from the skin and increase skin cell turnover.

As a result of using it, the skin naturally removes dead skin cells causing blockage in the pores to decongest the skin and reveal a clearer, more radiant complexion.

While existing scarring is visibly faded and the skin texture is refined.

Linley is one of many who have shared drastic results after using the range, which continues to wow customers with powerful custom-made products tailored to their specific concerns.

The Cellular Repair Night Cream ($200) is one of the most popular in the range thanks to its powerhouse ingredient list.

Over time the cream creates healthy skin cells using a prescription-strength retinoid to encourage the skin’s natural rejuvenation process.

The rapid cell turnover leads to dead and damaged skin cells being removed from the skin’s surface and subsequentially replaced by younger, healthier skin cells from underneath.

Speaking to FEMAIL previously, the founders shared how they use their own products and lifestyle tweaks to keep their enviable skin in peak condition all year round.

Dr Clara told FEMAIL she keeps it ‘super simple’ and admits it’s easy to get overwhelmed with all the products, fads and treatments in the beauty industry.

She describes her approach as ‘very minimalist and science-based’ and opts for products and brands she trusts instead of a ’10-step skincare routine’.

‘Over time I’ve found (and developed!) my own hero products that have allowed me to strip back my beauty routine,’ she said.

‘When it comes to beauty I’ve always loved that effortless and ‘untouched’ look, not only in my approach to injectables, but in my personal style.’

Every day Dr Clara relies on a Medik8 Oil Cleanser, followed by The Secret Essentials Set and a tinted Mesoestetic sunscreen.

‘Because I’ve invested heavily in the health of my skin, I have the luxury letting it breathe throughout the week and leaving makeup for special occasions,’ she said.

‘You can’t imagine how much time this saves!’

She also makes sure to support her skin from the inside out and uses By Beth Collagen in a smoothie every morning.
