Mike Tindall breaks up a fight between his two children, Lucas and Lena, at Burghley Horse Trials last month.

They may have a royal life with palaces and titles, but sometimes the Royal Family proves that they are just like the rest of us.

In a scene many parents may be used to, Zara and Mike Tindall had to scold their three-year-old son Lucas after he was caught play-fighting with his older sister Lena, six, at the Burghley Horse Trials in last month.

The former England rugby player was forced to separate the mischievous youngsters.

And they aren’t the first royals to misbehave. In 1983, Princess Anne was photographed pointing her finger and talking to Zara, who was around two years old at the time.

Meanwhile, four-year-old Prince William was seen with a solemn expression on his face after being scolded at a polo club in 1987.

Prince William

Prince William, then just four years old, went to Guards Polo Club in Windsor with his mother, Princess Diana, in 1987.

The young prince was photographed walking in a pale blue coat, with his eyes wide and his brow furrowed.

He seemed upset after being scolded for being mischievous.

William was also seen sitting on the then Princess of Wales’s lap as she comforted him.

Prince Louis

During the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022, Prince Louis showed several funny expressions while sitting next to his mother.

At one point, the young man turned to Kate, stuck out his tongue, and put his hand to his nose.

In another case, he put his hand over the Princess of Wales’s mouth as they watched a parade from the Royal Box.

Prince William is cheeky

Prince William was quite cheeky in his youth, especially with his teachers.

During a games lesson on the Richmond playing fields, the prince, then six years old, pinched her bottom.

The moment made the front page of the Daily Mail, which said “his blonde teacher gave him a stern reprimand” and afterwards William “looked surprised and suitably punished.”

Despite the incident, the young man enjoyed playing tennis and soccer with his class before returning to school.

Princess Diana and William

Princess Diana had to intervene and scold William after he joined a game of tag at his school’s sports day in Richmond, Surrey in 1990.

The Princess of Wales was babysitting her youngest son, Harry, when William sneaked out to play with his friends.

After she yelled at him with no luck, the Mail reported at the time how she ‘took her naughty son away from Wetherby School’s sports day’ and disciplined him.

Mia Tindall

Zara was very busy during the Festival of British Eventing in 2015 and was seen chasing her daughter, Mia.

Mia, who was just one year old at the time, was photographed standing on the grass crying as her mother walked up and held out her hand to the young royal.

Zara, a passionate equestrian, had competed in the event two years earlier while pregnant with Mia.
