The Redfall story trailer shows us what’s at stake

Arkane Austin and Bethesda just released a trailer detailing the storyline surrounding their co-op, vampire-slaying immersive sim coming May 2nd for PC and Xbox Series X/S. We’ve already seen some royale cuts of Redfall’s gameplay at this point, showing us an open world infested by vampires that’s designed to be explored with up to four other players. This new trailer gives a glimpse at some of the overarching story elements we can expect to see while exploring the titular city of Redfall, including an immortality-obsessed company called Aevum that’s responsible for running the tap and just not telling anyone.

Arkane’s previous titles have been mostly solo experiences that provide a compelling story and give you a real sense of place in the world by telling stories about the environment. However, it will be interesting to see how Arkane shifts that same experience to accommodate multiple players at the same time.

The trailer also shows off some nice skill shots and how players can combine their skills to pull off slick maneuvers.
