More than a hundred thousand mustache motorcyclists have put on their best Sunday in 700 cities to raise at least £ 4 million for men's mental health and prostate cancer charities.
Brave men with tweed jackets, fresh shirts and stylish brogues roamed the streets of cities around the world today, including 43 in the UK, on their vintage motorcycles for The Distinguished Gentleman & # 39; s Ride.
With a total of £ 4.3 million so far, the 111,845 motorcycle enthusiasts who have signed up for the ride are collecting money for the Movember Foundation – to support men's mental health and prostate cancer research.
In 2012, the first ride took place in Sydney, Australia, after founder Mark Hawwa was inspired by a photo from Mad Men & # 39; s Don Draper on a classic bike in his best suit.
And seven years later, 315 riders in Oxford, UK, and 1440 in Manila, the Philippines, joined thousands more in 110 countries for the 2019 Distinguished Gentleman & # 39; s Ride.
Highlights include a pair of gloriously well-kept mustaches, a terrifying clown mask, and a winding line of vintage motorcycles weaving between cars as they follow each other along motorways.
