After Harris announced that Beyoncé would be joining her in Houston this week, many outlets reported that Jay-Z’s better half would sing. That’s the point, right?
So imagine the disappointment when Beyoncé came out last night and announced, “I’m not here as a celebrity, I’m not here as a politician, I’m here as a mother.” (Actually, Bee, the only The reason you were there is because you’re a celebrity.)
Adding mortification to injury, this was the second time in a row that Harris stood by as reports swirled about a Beyoncé performance.
I was in the crowd at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago this July when rumors were swirling that she would appear there, too.

A few months later and just nine days before the presidential election, that’s a metaphor for Harris’ campaign: a big fake.
It turns out that a candidate fueled by TikTok memes is actually sputtering smoke. And worse yet, (put the earmuffs on Ella Emhoff) the ‘vibrations’ have gotten very, very bad.
It’s not just Beyoncé that’s leaving Kamala in the lurch, liberal newspapers are abandoning her too.
The Los Angeles Times and The Washington Post have broken with decades of precedent and will not endorse the Democratic presidential candidate this year.
The editors of the LA Times and WaPost claim to have various reasons for refusing to engage with Kamala’s sinking star. But do you really think they would have left Joe Biden or Barack Obama hanging with the threat of Trump ‘the fascist’ looming?
Maybe they’ve realized, unlike Kamala’s campaign, that you can’t fool your audience with tricks… or they’ll cancel their subscriptions.
Polls also show that rank-and-file union members, and particularly men who didn’t go to college, are also not supporting Giggles McGhee.
That’s what you get for holding up Dirty Dougie Emhoff and Wily Tim Walz as models of masculinity.
And, big surprise, Kamala’s cameo on the ninth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race didn’t help her win over socially conservative Arab American voters in Dearborn, Michigan.
They are still furious that she has not broken up with President Narcolepsy over the Gaza war, despite all of her vague signs about it threatening to cost her this critical swing state.
Former Obama campaign guru David Axelrod put it well this week. After Harris’ disastrous CNN town hall Wednesday night, he noted that when she doesn’t want to answer a difficult question, she tends to resort to “word salad city.”

The national race is now in a supposed “tie.” But if you’re a Democrat that means: you’re dead meat.
The real race is in the battleground states that will decide the electoral college winner. In September everyone was in truly volatile territory. But today, Trump leads in each of them by a slim difference of one percentage point, according to Real Clear Average polls.
But look closer and you’ll see that Harris is also dramatically underperforming in each of these states compared to where Joe Biden was four years ago and where Hillary Clinton was in 2016.
And on one of the most important issues of this election – immigration – all the signs for Kamala look bad.
Canada’s first Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, admitted this week that allowing unchecked migration to his country was a mistake. Harris owns the disaster of mass migration in the United States.
“We haven’t struck the right balance,” Trudeau said, announcing that his government will drastically reduce the number of new immigrants they will allow into Canada.
The same could be said of Kamala’s campaign: unbalanced: too much false joy, too little sincerity; Too many memes, too little substance.
