Samantha Armytage announced her departure from Channel Seven after 21 years on Sunday morning.
The presenter of The Farmer Wants a Wife said The Daily TelegraphShe made the decision to leave the network with the support of her husband, Richard Lavender, and her departure “is because I want to feel fulfilled.”
“I had to sit here and ask myself, ‘What are my next five to 10 years going to look like?'” she told the publication.
“I’m 47, so it was a bit of a take-stock thing. I’m still productive. I want to make good television.”
Armytage has reportedly turned down a new deal with Seven after his current contract expires in October.
She said her departure was “sad and bittersweet,” but she felt her time had come and she was excited about her future.
Armytage will do it It will still appear in the next Logicswith his show Farmer Wants A Wife nominated for Best Structured Reality Programme, but he will not be returning to host the next series.
Angus Ross, group chief executive of Seven Television, issued a statement on Sunday morning confirming that Natalie Gruzlewski will return as presenter when the new season premieres in 2025.

“After 21 years, Samantha Armytage decided to leave the Seven Network in October this year. We fully understand and support her decision,” it read.

Armytage joined Seven in 2003 and landed her first major presenting role on Seven News Sydney in 2004.
She co-hosted the popular breakfast show Sunrise alongside Kochie from 2013 to 2021, and was replaced by news presenter Natalie Barr when she stepped down from the role.
Last year, she took over hosting duties on Farmer Wants A Wife from Gruzlewski, who remained on the show as host.
Armytage will still appear at the upcoming Logies, with his show Farmer Wants A Wife nominated for Best Structured Reality Programme, but will not be returning to present the next series.
Her departure from Seven comes after reports that famous faces are being targeted and some of the network’s biggest stars are facing pay cuts to keep their jobs.
Respected news presenter Mark Ferguson is in danger and has been given ‘six weeks enforced annual leave’he Daily Telegraph reported last month.
It is understood the network will consider replacements for his role once his contract expires.
The names being considered to take Ferguson’s place are Michael Usher, Angela Cox and Angie Asimus.
David Koch, who is still under contract to Seven after leaving Sunrise, is reportedly unlikely to renew his deal.
Sonia Kruger is likely to survive, “but will likely take a ‘cut’ in her $1.3 million salary,” a source told the paper.

Dr. Chris Brown is also safe, but could face a pay cut on his rumored $2 million contract.
Weekend Sunrise presenter Matt Doran has a “question mark” over his future, the paper reported, but any decision is up in the air.
Sunrise star Mark Baretta’s deal takes him until 2025, but the paper claims he will “likely take a pay cut” to keep his job.
Veteran journalist Ann Sanders may also leave the network, but plans to do so “on her own terms,” the paper said.
