She joined the royal family at Windsor Castle over the weekend to celebrate Easter – but today she was back at work for the Duchess of Edinburgh.
In her role as sponsor, Sophie, 58, visited HMS Daring in Portsmouth as the docked Royal Navy destroyer undergoes maintenance and refurbishment.
During her visit, the mother-of-two watched a presentation on the progress of the ship’s long-term refit and regeneration program before taking a tour of the ship.
To board the ship, the radiant Duchess swapped her smart cream suit for full protective gear, including coveralls, safety boots and goggles, a hard hat and gloves.
Prince Edward’s wife paired her suit with a white shirt and added a touch of glitter to her ensemble with a pair of dainty blue earrings.

On Sunday, the Duchess appeared to be pulling out all the stops in attending the Easter service alongside other senior royals.
Mother-of-two, Sophie turned heads wearing a cream Philip Treacy hat, wide brim and striking height when she arrived at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
She paired her eye-catching headpiece with a pink Catherine Walker coat and cream knee-high boots, as well as a matching handbag.
Attending the royal event alongside her husband Prince Edward, 59, and their 15-year-old son James, Earl of Wessex, Sophie looked effortlessly elegant for her first appearance at the annual service since she assumed the title of Duchess of Edinburgh achieved.
It is unclear why 19-year-old Lady Louise, Sophie and Edward’s daughter, was not at Sunday’s occasion.
Edward and Sophie, formerly the Countess and Earl of Wessex, received their new titles in February, some six months after Queen Elizabeth II’s death in September.
Sunday’s service was probably bittersweet for the members of the Firm, as it was the first without the late Queen – and the second anniversary of Prince Philip’s death.

Sophie, a mother of two, was particularly close to the late monarch, with whom she spoke daily, and whom she referred to as ‘mama’.
Other members of the royal family who appeared on their Sunday cutlery included the Prince and Princess of Wales, who brought their children Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, seven, and Prince Louis, four, to the event.
Also in attendance were the Tindalls, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, and Princess Anne, who was accompanied by her husband Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence.
Following in the footsteps of his late mother, Queen Elizabeth, who used to hold Easter Court at her beloved Berkshire residence, Charles was joined by his wife, the Queen Consort.
A staple on the royal calendar, last year’s event saw the now Prince and Princess of Wales present in the spring sunshine with their two eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
The Princess of Wales and the Queen Consort both opted for royal blues as their favorite Easter Sunday outfit, with the mother-of-three arriving hand-in-hand with her youngest son Prince Louis, who joined the family at the service for the first time.
