The Lost Kitchen, owned by chef and author Erin French, announced details of its postcard reservation system on Tuesday.

It is one of the most requested reservation restaurants in the US and receives around 20,000 postcards each season.

The restaurant asks people not to send envelopes or send more than one, as those who try to duplicate submissions will be disqualified.

“Please do not send postcards on behalf of others,” it said in a statement. “In the rare event that two family or group members receive a booking call, within the same session, we ask that you decline a second booking.”

The Lost Kitchen, which welcomes about 50 people every night, celebrates its tenth anniversary this year.

The French first introduced the postcard system in 2018 after being bombarded with phone calls to make reservations.
