Steve Price celebrated his 70th birthday with The Project viewers on Monday.
However, the athlete’s celebrations were overshadowed by his mother Margo.
Joining the studio audience to watch as The Project paid tribute to Steve’s 15 years on the show, his proud mother looked decades younger than her 90 years.
“I think I speak for the entire Pricey nation when I say he looks younger than you,” his co-host Waleed Aly joked.
Price, who introduced viewers to his mother as “90 years old”, appeared tearful after The Project showed a series of clips celebrating his decade and a half on the Channel 10 panel.
During the segment, Margo paid her own tribute to her media veteran son, who has enjoyed a career spanning more than four decades.

However, the athlete’s celebrations were overshadowed by his mother Margo.
“He’s a very generous person, different from what you see here on camera,” he said, before co-host Sarah Harris joked: “So you weren’t in a bad mood when you were a child?
“No, no, it’s always been wonderful,” Margo replied.
At one point in the segment, Price thanks the cast and crew of the show.
“I want to say one serious thing about this: I’ve been here 15 years and I’ve worked with the young people on The Project, particularly behind the scenes, but also with the three of you,” he said, referring to his co-hosts.
“And all those who have come before you… But it makes me feel young, so I don’t feel 70 years old at all, but 55.”
Fans took to The Project’s social media to wish Price a happy birthday, with many gushing over her mother’s appearance on the show.
‘Happy birthday Steve Price!! I hope you are enjoying your special day. All the best. You and your mom look great,” said one fan.
‘I’m still getting over how AMAZING Steve’s mom looks!!!’ he messaged another user.

Another fan added: ‘Happy birthday Pricey. According to everyone, how wonderful your mother is!’
It comes after The Project co-host Sarah Harris recently revealed why she doesn’t wear thong bikinis while weighing in on the debate over revealing underwear during a segment on the show earlier this month.
The TV presenter, 43, expressed her candid opinion on beachwear while discussing the ban that a list of swimming pools has issued.
Blue Mountains Leisure Centers (BMLC), a branch of Blue Mountains Council, sparked a backlash by declaring that thongs are “not acceptable” on their premises.
Weighing in on the controversial move, Sarah insisted she has no problem with people wearing thong bikinis – but revealed why she won’t wear one herself.
She joked: ‘I wish I could wear them! My butt looks like a garbage bag full of cottage cheese! I think if you have it, flaunt it.
Sarah, who shares two sons Paul, seven, and Harry, five, with ex-husband Tom Ward, also hit back at critics who claim thong bikinis are not family-friendly.
“A lot of the comments have been ‘what will the kids think?’ I spend a lot of time at the beach with my kids, they don’t look,” she added.
Her co-presenter Georgie Tunny agreed with her sentiments and shared her bewilderment at people’s opposition to thong swimsuits.
“I just don’t care, I don’t care what people wear, if they feel safe enough to wear it then I’m very happy that they do, I wish I was one of you, but alas!” she said.
Thong swimsuits were banned at Katoomba Sports and Aquatic Centre, Springwood Fitness and Aquatic Centre, Blackheath Pool and Glenbrook Swimming Center in the Blue Mountains.
The BMLC’s terms of entry state that “customers are encouraged to shower thoroughly before entering the pool and recognized swimwear must be worn.”
“Recognized swimsuits do not include thongs,” the conditions add.
The council was forced to explain what it meant after swimmers noticed a sign ruling that “revealing swimsuits/thongs” were prohibited, sparking some backlash.
The council then clarified online: ‘The ”Revealing Swimsuits/Thongs” image has attracted attention; This image refers to thongs and thongs, not bikini tops and bottoms.
“Bikinis are acceptable and are considered recognized swimsuits.”
A spokesperson for Blue Mountains Council said there has been “no change” to the council’s policy regarding swimwear.
