The Project presenters have paid tribute to Liam Payne following his tragic death at the age of 31.
The singer died instantly from injuries that included a fractured skull when he fell 45 feet from a third-floor balcony at the Casa Sur Hotel in Argentina on Wednesday.
Alberto Crescenti, head of Buenos Aires emergency services, said Liam had a “skull fracture and extremely serious injuries that caused his immediate death.”
Tributes have poured in for the former One Direction star since his death and Australian panel The Project shared a heartfelt message on Thursday night.
The Channel Ten show aired a lengthy tribute showing highlights of Liam’s successful music career before returning to the excited presenters in the studio.
Georgie Tunny revealed the live studio audience had been reduced to tears as everyone shared their heartbreak over his tragic death.
“You can see in our audience there are people crying, I’m with you, I see you,” Georgie said.
“Now there’s a huge void: This was someone they genuinely loved.”
His co-host Kate Langbroek later revealed that The first concert he took his daughter to on Sunday the 18th was a One Direction concert.

“This morning, at my house, my daughter told me: that was the first concert I took her to,” he shared.
Kate, 59, described her experience at the concert as “magnificent” and shared her heartbreak over Liam’s death.
Liam rose to fame on The X Factor at age 16, when he was put in a band with Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson. in what would become One Direction.
She initially auditioned for The X Factor in 2008, when she was 14, and impressed the judges with her own version of Frank Sinatra’s Fly Me To The Moon, and auditioned once again in 2010.
One Direction then rose to global acclaim and won the hearts of thousands of teenage fans, selling more than 70 million records worldwide, becoming one of the most successful boy bands of all time.
After Zayn announced his departure from One Direction in 2015, the band went their separate ways.
After releasing five albums with one of the biggest boy bands of all time, Liam released his first solo album titled LP1 in 2019.

Throughout her music career, the pop star collaborated with artists such as J Balvin, French Montana, Dixie D’Amelio and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie.
He was previously in a relationship with British pop sensation Cheryl Cole and the couple welcomed their son Bear Gray on March 22, 2017.

Fans around the world were left heartbroken after Liam reportedly fell from a hotel balcony in Buenos, Argentina, on Wednesday around 5pm (ART).
He jumped from the third floor into the patio of the Casa Sur Hotel in the capital of Argentina, before doctors confirmed his death.
An autopsy has revealed that Payne died from “multiple traumas” that caused “internal and external hemorrhage,” according to local media reports.
Liam had arrived in Argentina earlier this month for his former bandmate Niall Horan’s concert with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy (both pictured). She left two days ago, but he stayed.
On Thursday, Liam’s family revealed they were “heartbroken” by his death, adding that the talented singer would “live forever in our hearts.”
A statement from the family said: ‘We are heartbroken. Liam will forever live in our hearts and we will remember him for his kind, funny and brave soul. “We support each other as best we can as a family and ask for privacy and space at this terrible time.”
Payne’s uncle Roger Harris also told MailOnline this afternoon: “We are all deeply saddened and trying to come to terms with it.” I just hope everyone gives them some privacy and lets them accept it. That’s all I can say.
Since then, crowds of excited fans have gathered to pay their respects to the pop star outside the hotel.
Buenos Aires police said they were initially responding to a 911 call “from an aggressive man who may have been under the influence of drugs and alcohol.”
Authorities heard a loud sound in the yard before discovering his body shortly after 5 p.m., the BBC reported.
According to TMZ, Liam “had been acting erratically in the hotel lobby and smashed his laptop” before he “had to be taken back to his room.”
Police had received a call from a hotel worker requesting urgent help for a drunk guest, according to audio related to the case obtained from the Buenos Aires Ministry of Security.
“When he’s conscious, he’s destroying the entire room and we need someone to be sent,” the worker said.
City ambulance service spokesman Alberto Crescenti said Liam had fallen about 40 meters and suffered “serious injuries that were incompatible with life.”
He said: ‘The alarm was raised at 5:04 pm local time saying that a person was lying in an internal courtyard of Casa Sur. At 5:11 p.m. an ambulance arrived and the man was pronounced dead.
A heartbreaking video shows Liam singing and dancing with his Niall, while he later posted a photo with Horan on Snapchat with the caption: ‘Reunited’ shortly before his death.
Since then, crowds of emotional fans have gathered to pay their respects to the pop star outside the hotel where Liam died on Wednesday.
‘Later we discovered that he had been a famous singer. Unfortunately, the injuries he had suffered as a result of the fall proved fatal. There was no possibility of resuscitating him.’

Liam made his last social media post in May, in which he posted a photo of One Direction with the late American filmmaker Morgan Spurlock, who died on May 23, and thanked him for directing the 1D documentary This Is Us.
The star’s loyal fan base had expressed concern about the troubled star, following a series of worrying displays that included an erratic red carpet appearance, a hospitalization for a kidney infection, canceled concerts and rambling videos.
