Aleksandra Sadowska from the city of Wroclaw in western Poland had gone to the tattoo artist after she had decided that she wanted to emulate a rap artist named Popek, who also painted the whites of his eyes black.
The messed up procedure made the 25-year-old model complain about pain in her eyes that the tattoo artist would have said was normal and that she should take painkillers.
Based in the Polish capital of Warsaw, the tattoo artist who is mentioned in the local media as Piotr A sees three years in prison for unintentionally seriously eliminating the woman.
Aleksandra Sadowska wanted to imitate her favorite rap artist, but is now completely blind after the failed procedure in the Polish capital
After losing full vision in her right eye, doctors from Aleksandra were told that the damage was irreparable and that she would soon lose sight of her left eye.
The subsequent investigation revealed that the tattoo artist had made serious mistakes in the process, including the use of body color for tattooing the skin, which should not come into contact with the eye.
The woman’s lawyers told the local media: “There are clear indications that the tattoo artist did not know how to perform such a delicate procedure.
“And yet he decided to do it, which led to this tragedy.”
Posts last year on social media suggest that Aleksandra was initially happy with the result before her condition began to deteriorate
The brave model described herself as a food and animal lover on Instagram and swears she won’t lose her eyesight
Resolutely Aleksandra said: ‘Unfortunately, doctors are not giving me much optimism for improvement for the time being. The damage is too deep and extensive. I’m afraid I’ll be completely blind. “
She added: “I won’t lock myself up in the basement and get depressed. I am sad, but I live on. “
The tattoo artist, who still runs his salon where he mainly performs ear piercings, has now been accused four years after Aleksandra’s ordeal began.
He argued not guilty.
The lawsuit is expected to begin soon.
