The man, dressed in a black cape and mask, has been seen in three different businesses around Orange, in the central west of New South Wales, between June and July.
His last attempt saw him threaten a hotel employee with a hunting knife and rifle before he forced him to another room while trying to rob the poker machines and cash machine from the location.

In the first incident on June 29, the captain saw a permit invade before attempting to steal the cash machine.
The next attempt on July 13 concerned the man who was wearing face protection when he tried to rob another company and spent an hour trying to steal money from the cash machine.
The bandit left all three buildings empty-handed after his last burglary on July 20.
He was last seen jumping over a fence in the parking lot of a hotel on Bathurst Road in Orange, before running along the railroad.
The police have released CCTV recordings of the masked man and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
