A plus-size polyamorous influencer has responded after trolls accused her of claiming obesity was a disability.
Jae’lynn Chaney27, posted a video in response to a comment made on one of her videos that said, “Obesity is not a disability.”
“Let’s be clear: being fat doesn’t automatically mean you’re disabled,” the influencer, who lives in Vancouver, Washington, wrote in an Instagram video she posted Tuesday.
‘Repeat after me: fat and disabled are not the same. Good kind of work.
‘Now, let’s talk about the facts: it is 100 percent possible to be fat and disabled at the same time. Shocking, I know.
“But here I am, a living, breathing example.”
A plus-size influencer has responded after trolls accused her of claiming obesity was a disability.
Jae’lynn’s video came after she detailed in another clip a “distressing” experience she had at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport as a wheelchair user.
“I faced a major challenge trying to get to the baggage claim area,” he wrote in that Tik Tok video, which shows a clip of her in a wheelchair being pushed across the skybridge from the plane to the terminal.
“The only option was to go through a revolving door,” he continued. “We pressed the button to reduce the speed for people with disabilities, but when we entered we got stuck.”
Jae’lynn went on to say that she was “claustrophobic” and began to panic.
“(I was) frantically asking the staff for help,” he recalled. “They just stared at me, offering no help.”
According to the influencer, someone passing by noticed her struggle and tried to help, but the airport staff remained “indifferent.”
“This was my second terrible experience at O’Hare in one trip,” he said.
Jae’lynn called the experience “frustrating” and “dehumanizing” and used the hashtag “fat and disabled” in her video.

“The lack of assistance (highlighted) the need for airport staff to treat travelers of all sizes and abilities with the respect and care they deserve,” he concluded in the video.

The plus-size woman previously ruffled feathers after demanding that extra seats for fat travelers be subsidized by thinner passengers.
Until recently, Jae’lynn traveled on supplemental oxygen and required the use of a wheelchair instead of walking longer distances after doctors suspected she had suffered a stroke in 2019.
In a recent Instagram post, the travel influencer lashed out at comments about her weight and told people there was no correlation between being overweight and disability, despite comments from people accusing her of saying that.
Hundreds of people commented on the publication, and some expressed solidarity with the woman’s plight.
“I’m so sorry this happened to you,” wrote a fellow disabled traveler.

Earlier this month, Jae’lynn claimed she was discriminated against by an airport employee who refused to push her in a wheelchair because of her weight.
She recounted her experience with a wheelchair attendant on a flight deck after a recent landing at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
In a video posted on social media, she stated that when she attempted to disembark the plane, the employee assigned to help her began to walk away when he realized he should help the plus-sized woman and not one of the smaller passengers. .
The travel influencer said that as the employee walked away with the wheelchair she was making comments about her size.
Jae’lynn, who had previously demanded free extra seats for fat passengers subsidized by thinner passengers, says the ordeal left her breathless.
