A police officer reportedly shot his neighbor’s four beloved dogs before dragging their bodies and buried them in a shallow grave.

Townsville agent Greg Baker, 44, is said to have murdered the four pets – Cheeko, Jelly Bean, Nacho and Spud – after walking around his property in July 2020.

Their owners desperately pleaded for help finding their companions before discovering the heartbreaking alleged truth – saying in a Facebook post that they were trying to “ contain their anger. ”

The dogs, a Labrador cross, two German Shepherd crosses and a deer hound, were roaming the neighborhood when they were reportedly killed

Baker reportedly killed them while walking through a pasture and shooting the four adored pets with a rifle.

“I had heard you should watch your dogs when they get off parts of Blackriver,” one Facebook user wrote in response to the story.

“I’ve heard this too,” replied another.

The owners of the dogs had initially posted to Facebook asking for help finding Cheeko, Jelly Bean, Nacho and Spud, saying, ‘Missing … very much missed’.

The post was updated hours later after he learned that Baker had allegedly killed them.

Baker, who worked from various stations in Townsville, has since resigned from the Queensland Police Department.

He will be taken to court at the end of April.
