She sees Adam Brody (Seth Cohen) and Olivia Wilde (Alex Kelly) less often, but they are still on good terms.

She told Today Extra hosts David Campbell and Belinda Russell via Zoom: ‘I’ve kept in touch with, well, Kelly most of the time, Peter, Tate …

I ran into Adam a few times, I ran into Olivia Wilde … I ran into – well, no, I haven’t seen Shailene Woodley [who played Kaitlin Cooper] for a fairly long time, ‘

“Rachel, we ran into each other, maybe 10 years ago actually, so we’re just getting to know ourselves again!” she then said of her co-host of the podcast.

Melinda played the glamorous Julie Cooper, the mother of the privileged but rebellious teen Marissa Cooper, played by Mischa Barton.

Elsewhere in their interview with Today Extra, Rachel, who played Marissa’s best friend Summer Roberts, was asked what guests they would have on their podcast.

Well, we’re definitely going to drop by some of our lovely cast members. And writers and hopefully producers and other people behind the scenes, ”she said.

‘It will be a mixed bag, but it will be a lot of fun to hear everyone’s different opinions and perspectives. But there will certainly be nice surprises with cast. ‘

Notably, nothing was mentioned in the interview of Mischa Barton, who abruptly left the series at the end of season three.

The OC was a hit in the ratings at the time, but Mischa wanted to focus on other projects and her departure eventually led to the show’s cancellation in 2007.

‘I just had a lot in my career that I wanted to do and achieve … I felt like things really depended heavily on me, and I didn’t get time to do any of the other offers out there, she told the New York Times in 2019.

However, it is possible that Rachel and Melinda are keeping Mischa’s appearance on the podcast a secret, which is why they did not mention her.

Deadline reported that the podcast has launched through Kast Media and will produce 100 episodes and feature a variety of guests – from former cast members such as Peter Gallagher to series creator Josh Schwartz ‘.

“I’m so excited to do this podcast with Mindy,” Bilson said. ‘I think everyone could use a little light and laughter after the year we’ve been through.

‘Going back and watching all these episodes was so much fun and I can’t wait to talk about them, my own personal experiences and others involved in the show.
