One of the oldest and most popular toys in the world is receiving a facelift.

Particula, a company based in Israel, has announced its turn in the Rubik's cube, known as GoCube, which can be connected to your phone and allows users to play against other people.

It marks a big step forward when the original Rubik's cube, developed by the Hungarian sculptor Erno Rubik, was first launched in 1974. Since then, more than 350 million Rubik's cubes have been sold around the world.

The GoCube is synchronized with smartphones and tablets using a Bluetooth connection, giving users access to the Battle feature, which allows them to play with friends (or enemies) around the world, according to Particula.

Users can choose between different modes in Battle, including Versus mode, bookmarks, live competitions and more.

There are also minigames and missions to solve cubes, some of which require you to use the cube as a controller.

All games are available in the GoCube application, which can be downloaded on iOS or Android devices.

If users just want to hone their skills, Particle has created interactive step-by-step guides that help people learn how to become professionals.

Particula noted that the GoCube application breaks down the algorithms into mini-steps that are easy to follow.

Bucket sensors can tell users how well they solved it, as well as make suggestions on better construction moves or challenges to help them solve it faster.

"When you have this type of Fitbit for cubers, with all kinds of data, information and analysis, we can provide you with the exact weak points," said Udi Dor, CEO of Particula, to Fast Company.

The GoCube is packed with multiple sensors that allow the application to track every turn that the user makes.

WHAT IS GOCUBE?

A startup based in Israel has developed an intelligent Rubik's cube that allows users to fight against each other to solve the device, play mini-games and hone their skills.

The cube is full of sensors that track their rotations and orientation, which is synchronized with the GoCube application.

The application is available for iOS and Android devices.

The duration of the battery ranges between three and 30 hours, depending on the use of each person.

It can be connected to an iPad or smartphone via Bluetooth.

The cube also has LED status indicators so that it flashes when users solve the cube.

The GoCube is synchronized with smartphones that use a Bluetooth connection, giving users access to the Battle function, mini games and missions, as well as step-by-step instructions.

An on-board Inertial Measurement Unit can also detect the orientation of the cube.

The cube's LED lights shine when the user solves it.

"In addition to all the other cool features, GoCube is also what is known as" Speed Cube, "said Particula.

"What that means is that instead of the usual slow and clumsy cubes that get stuck a lot, GoCube has implemented mechanisms that allow it to be fast and without problems."

The GoCube includes several different features that make it smarter than the traditional Rubik's Cube. It comes with a charging stand that also works as a phone holder
