The newest iPhone from Apple becomes professional.
In an important product announcement on Tuesday, Apple unveiled a long-awaited new round iPhones with the premium $ 999 iPhone 11 Pro and its larger counterpart, the iPhone Pro Max, for $ 1099.
One of the striking features of the phone is the addition of an additional rear-facing camera lens, which brings the total to three.
The Pro's range of cameras includes the wide and ultra-wide lenses in the standard iPhone 11 model and a 2x telephoto lens that is capable of taking extra long or short distances in low light.

The Pro comes in various colors, including a midnight green, space gray, silver and gold, pictured above
All three lenses are housed in a fairly large module on the back of the phone and can be selected in the Pro's interface using the phone's new camera software.
While all three camera units have 12 megapixels, one of the most important differences between the wide-angle / ultra-wide angle and telephoto comes in focal length.
With a focal length of 56 mm, the telephoto lens can absorb 40 percent more light compared to the company's previous high-end model, the iPhone XS.
That extra light makes a long-awaited & # 39; Night Mode & # 39; possible, specially designed for taking photos with little natural or artificial light.
Regarding video, each of the cameras in the iPhone 11 Pro can shoot in 4K resolution and is supported by the & # 39; cinematic video stabilization & # 39; from Apple that helps reduce camera shake.
A front camera is also 12 megapixels and can record 4K video at 60 frames per second to make slow-motion video possible.
Camera resolution and a range of lens options help position the Pro as a kind of all-device for filmmakers, photographers and more.
& # 39; iPhone 11 Pro has the first triple camera system in the iPhone and is by far the best camera we've ever made. It offers our customers a wide range of creative control and advanced photo and video editing functions in iOS 13 & # 39 ;, said Phil Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.
The iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max have various improvements over the standard iPhone 11 models, including a third telephoto lens.
Perhaps even more sophisticated than the Pro's hardware, however, the software is designed to orchestrate the improved camera range of the phone.
Apple has announced what it is a & # 39; next generation Smart HDR & # 39; , who can identify subjects in a frame and can use machine learning to re-illuminate them for natural and sharper images.
Smart HDR works with another smart feature called & # 39; Deep Fusion & # 39 ;, which also uses the machine learning module of the iPhone 11, the Neural Engine.
Deep Fusion, which will be rolled out in the fall, is a brand new image processing system that uses a total of nine images to stitch the best possible photo together pixel by pixel.
The system that Schiller & # 39; computational mad science & # 39; works by taking four short images, four secondary images and then one longer exposure and then using the phone's built-in AI to comb billions of pixels and choose the sharpest, most beautiful photo.
To help all the flashy new camera software run, the iPhone 11 Pro uses the new A13 Bionic chip from Apple.
Photo above is the difference between a photo taken with and without the new & # 39; Night mode & # 39; of the Pro. A third telephoto lens can capture 40 percent more light.
According to the company, not only is the latest chip slightly faster than its predecessor – A13 Bionic can process 1 trillion edits per second, making it 20 percent faster than the A12 – but it is also more efficient.
By using hundreds of voltage and clock ports and machine learning, the A13 can switch off different parts of the chip when they are not in use, making it exceptionally good at saving energy.
That extra efficiency translates to four hours of battery life of the standard iPhone 11 model and, for the iPhone Pro 11 Max, another five hours.
For customers interested in buying Apple's new game streaming service, Apple Arcade, that extra battery life may be enough to tempt them to earn the extra money.
The design of the Pro is provided with a surgical stainless steel with a machine glass backing and a matte texture finish.
It has an OLED, True Tone display that reaches 1200 nits – a unit of luminescence – which means that photos are ultra-bright and ultra-bright. It is essentially a & # 39; Mac Pro display that is built into the iPhone & # 39 ;, says the company.
It also has Super Retina XDR playback and spatial audio sound, thanks to Dolby Atmos.
