Styling your smile is the quirky new fashion trend set to take Australia by storm this month, with the launch of temporary tattoos… for your teeth.

The team at Hismile Dental Powerhouse, best known for its celebrity-loved range of whitening products, today launched SmileStika – a range of expressive dental tattoos.

The tiny tattoos are mouth-safe and use a water-activated adhesive to transfer the design to teeth.

Once in place, they stay for up to 12 hours. They stay in place while drinking and eating and are easily removed via a simple “brush, rinse, expel” method.

There are five different $7.20 packs of 20 with unique designs each: flower, pleasure, fruit, mixed gem, and fast food.

Nik Mirkovic and Alex Tomic, the brand’s young Australian founders, said they had been watching the growing dental gemstone trend for years and wanted to bring something different to the market.

“We saw a gap in the market given the commitment and level of effort required to receive a dental gemstone from a dentist,” they told FEMAIL.

“This is where the concept of tooth tattoos was born.

We believe our customers want to express themselves and SmileStika gives them that opportunity, with designs to suit everyone. They now have the option to display their mood on their teeth or style their smile to complete a look.

This launch follows the highly successful V34 Purple Tooth Color Corrector which has graced the TikTok feeds of millions.

Backed by Kim Kardashian, the $35 color-correcting technology is described as “makeup for your teeth” and compensates for yellow tones for instant brightening.

Customers have been shaving since launch with their impressive before and after pictures, with many praising the instant results and safe formulation.

It was developed in collaboration with teeth whitening expert, Emeritus Professor Laurence Walsh, who helped the team achieve a peroxide-free formulation that reveals the truest shade of white, without tooth sensitivity or demineralization.
