Nowadays there seems to be too much nonsense in Brazil.

A viral video captured the moment when a runaway horse attacked a pedestrian on a street in Jaragua, a town in the southeast of the state of São Paulo.

The footage, filmed last Thursday, showed the man walking along the sidewalk while the horse was eating and turned around and lunged at him.

The pedestrian hit the animal in an attempt to scare it away.

However, the man was pushed against a wall with nowhere to escape and was kicked four times.

The horse stopped and kicked two more before the man managed to run away.

The victim stumbled and lay on the pavement for several seconds while the horse stared at him until he was able to get up and walk away.

Residents told Brazilian outlet G1 that other people have been “assaulted” by the same horse in the past.

On one occasion, an elderly woman was attacked and suffered a head injury that required a visit to the hospital. Once another person was bitten by the horse.

One resident told the outlet that the horse can be seen at any time wandering the streets without its owner.

The same horse was seen in a different video, apparently freeing itself from a rope its owner used to tie it to a tree.

Residents have complained that other horses in the area have sometimes been seen wandering alone, some of which are showing signs of malnutrition.
