Fill the tank, start the engines and off you go over the clouds: The Microsoft Flight Simulator has beautified some dream islands with the thirteenth World Update. If you fly over the Pacific you will find most of the changes.

What’s in the update?
Some oceanic islands will be updated with new details and landmarks, but parts of Antarctica will also be reworked. The update includes 13 countries and 28 non-sovereign territories. The following locations can be found in the new update:
- Polynesia (Hawaii and Easter Island)
- Melanesia (Fiji, New Caledonia, New Guinea, Indonesia’s Western Papua and the Solomon Islands)
- Galapagos Islands
- The Antarctic Peninsula
Additional are 150 points of interest included, among other things:
- Monoliths on Easter Island
- The Indonesian Autograph Tower, the tallest building in the southern hemisphere
- Antarctic research bases
- The Point Venus Lighthouse in Tahiti
The world-famous monoliths can also be found on Easter Island.
The MS Flight Simulator would hardly call itself that, if not a few new airports would be there. This time there are twelve of them, including:
- Airstrips in the highlands of Papua New Guinea
- Mataveri International Airport on Easter Island
- Hawaii’s Kona International Airport
- Nusatupe Airport in the Solomon Islands
- Bora Bora Airport in French Polynesia
- Moorea Airport in French Polynesia
As if that weren’t enough, there are also new discovery flights, three new landing challenges and three new bush trips. The update has already been released, so you can hit the ground running!
