A grandfather, father and son were preparing their vehicle for a cross-country adventure Tuesday when it burst into flames outside their home on Walker Road in Peabody.

Security cameras captured the terrifying moment the mobile home caught fire and devastated the neighborhood. The flames were so intense that they melted the siding of the family home.

The names of the men have not been released, but they are said to be between 20 and 70 years old, according to ZBW.

The men are beloved in the community and neighbors said they regularly take RV vacations.

“They’re very good people. They’re friends of mine. I was worried about the kids and everybody else,” O’Donnell said.
