Democrats at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago arrived in the Windy City sporting creative fashion choices to try and stand out in the crowd of more than 50,000 people.

Kamala Harris fans turned the United Center into their own catwalk with a sea of stars and stripes and the expected red, white and blue, but also much more.

The green ‘Brat’ caused a sensation with its predominance of sparkles and sequins. The main motto: the more exaggerated, the better.

Attendees celebrated the historic moment of nominating the first woman of color to head the presidential ticket with tributes to other trailblazers. A Taylor Swift-inspired outfit made waves among other tributes to female legends.

Kelly Jacobs, a Swiftie delegate from Mississippi, told DailyMail.com that she plans to wear a different outfit for each night of the convention.

On Monday night, she rocked a reversible caftan with Taylor Swift on the back forming a “blue wave.” Tuesday night’s outfit had Kamala Harris on the front and Hillary Clinton and Taylor Swift on the back.

Jacobs also wore a pair of Converse sneakers, a brand the vice president often wears, but his were decorated to honor Harris.

America went from a summer of “spoiled brats” to a convention of “spoiled brats” after pop star Charlie XCX endorsed Harris a few weeks ago.

The campaign celebrated the British post “Kamala IS brat” on X by using the exact same shade of green for its KamalaHQ social media.

'Kamala said "Ladies, watch your feet, there is glass on the floor."Jacobs said her Harris-inspired Converse referenced the breaking of the glass ceiling. Her dress also featured an image of the White House.

This week, clothing and accessories inspired by chartreuse and the “brat” style were on display, from T-shirts to pins. Some women even chose to paint their nails in the striking green color for the event.

“Kamala IS a spoiled brat,” said Harris supporter Grace Thomas of Indiana, wearing a lime green shirt she created herself. Some green pins simply said “Kamala,” while others said “Democrat.”

The vice president is the first woman of color to become a major party presidential candidate, and the historic moment was not lost on convention attendees.

Some wore outfits to mark the occasion this week featuring images of leading women, including U.S. senators and Supreme Court justices.

Connecticut delegates Dita Bhargava and Kristen Hamlin said the women in their dresses, from a series called “sheroes” by artist Tina Duryea, are those on whose shoulders “other women now stand.”

Reproductive rights also took center stage at the convention, as Democrats seized on the overturn of Roe v Wade.

Abortion rights and reproductive health have not only been the focus of attention during events and speeches, but also in clothing choices. One bag bore the legend “Prohibitions off our bodies.”

Support for LGBTQ+ rights was also front and center with a number of rainbow-inspired accessories and outfits.

Jeweal Cannada-Wynn of Pensacola, Florida, was attending her first convention. As a former educator, she went to see her former students to help her create a hat for the first time there.

“I just said get creative,” she said with a laugh as she sported a two-foot-tall hat emblazoned with American flags, donkeys and an airplane and topped with a sign that read “Kamala for president.”

Matthew Rothschild of California’s hat wasn’t as big, but it was just as festive, featuring a Harris-Walz sign, fireworks and a bobblehead of the vice president.
