Avignon Monster Dominique Pelicot has been linked to five new unsolved cases, including the murder of a woman in Marseille, it has emerged.

Detectives from France’s Cold Case Office have identified the rape of four women and the murder of another who appear to bear a striking resemblance to Pelicot’s modus operandi, according to reports in France.

The cases include the murder of a real estate agent, known only as Christine B, in Marseille, who was found strangled in her office in the city’s Berre-l’Etang district in May 2000.

The other women were also real estate agents and were all held at knifepoint during savage sexual assaults in cities across France between 1994 and 2004.

Detectives from the Cold Case Office, based in the Paris suburb of Nanterre, identified similarities between these crimes and two other cases (an attempted rape and another of murder) in which Pelicot has been involved.

It concerns the rape and murder of Sophie Narme, 23, in 1991 and the attempted rape of another real estate agent, a woman just 19, in May 1999, both in the suburbs of Paris, near where she lived. Pelicot at that time.

The retired electrician has admitted being the perpetrator of the attempted rape in which he pulled a knife on the terrified woman after making a fake appointment to view a flat for rent, after being presented with DNA evidence.

The young woman only escaped when she managed to free herself from the ropes with which he had tied her and locked herself in a closet.

But Pelicot denies the rape and murder of estate agent Sophie Narme, who was also lured to a property viewing appointment by a fake buyer and was then anesthetized and repeatedly stabbed before being strangled with her Chanel belt.

The five new cases (one murder and four rapes) involve attacks on estate agents and the use of a knife.

Dominique Pelicot is on trial in Avignon along with 50 other men for the aggravated rape of his wife Gisele for ten years until 2020.

The 71-year-old admitted drugging her with powerful sedatives and then inviting dozens of men to his home in a picturesque village in Provence to rape her while he filmed and took photographs.

Most of the co-defendants deny rape and claim that they believed they were engaging in a sexual game with Madame Pelicot by pretending to be asleep.
