The moment Dave Grohl’s ex-girlfriend Louise Post accused him of cheating on stage in Australia has resurfaced after he admitted to fathering a secret child.
The 55-year-old rock star surprised fans on Tuesday when he revealed on Instagram that he recently welcomed a daughter outside of his marriage to Jordyn Blum.
Amid the bombshell news, details have resurfaced of the shocking moment Dave’s ex-girlfriend Louise, 57, drunkenly accused him of cheating on her on stage in the 1990s.
Meanwhile, Dave’s comments about his infamously wild visit Down Under in 2000, in which he was arrested after taking “drinks” at Sea World, have also resurfaced.
The Foo Fighters frontman was linked to Veruca Salt singer Louise after his marriage to first wife Jennifer Youngblood ended in 1997 when he admitted to cheating.
However, after a year of dating, their relationship came to an explosive end when Louise accused Dave of cheating on stage during a show in Melbourne.
Louise publicly criticised Dave by boldly claiming that he had cheated on her with actress Winona Ryder, something Dave has denied.
Louise later reportedly said she was drunk at the time, but did not retract her allegations and admitted she was “publicly breaking down” during her Australian tour.

Despite the tumultuous split, Louise and Dave are now friends and she has addressed speculation that their split inspired the lyrics of her 2000 album, Resolve.
“People definitely read things into my songs. In interviews, any mention of him bothers me,” Louise told The Associated Press. The Sydney Morning Herald.
“It was a private relationship, but it had a lot of repercussions. I didn’t mean for that to happen. We’re friends now.”
The “dramatic” Melbourne show also marked the beginning of the end for her band, Veruca Salt, who split after she fell out with co-founder Nina Gordon shortly afterwards, although the pair eventually reconciled in 2015.
“(Nina and I) had a huge fight on stage in Melbourne,” he said. The music in 2015. ‘I just found out my boyfriend at the time was cheating on me, so I was publicly breaking down on all the Australian stages.
“Then we came back to America, Nina and I drifted apart and each went our own way. Despite all that, I only have fond memories of Australia. Even that tour – it was crazy, it was wild, it was dramatic.”
In addition to Louise’s infamous on-stage speech in Australia, Dave also had a rather wild visit to Australia in 2000, which resulted in his arrest.
The ’embarrassing’ incident happened when the rocker took shots at Sea World while visiting the Gold Coast to perform at the Big Day Out festival in his early days of fame.
While on stage in Melbourne in 1997, Veruca Salt singer Louise drunkenly accused Dave of cheating on her with Winona Ryder (pictured in 2000), which he has denied.
After renting a motorbike to do some sightseeing, Dave was stopped at an RBT checkpoint on his way back to his hotel and tested positive for alcohol at 0.95.
In Australia, it is a criminal offence to drive or operate a vehicle with a blood alcohol level exceeding 0.05.
Dave was convicted and fined $400 when he returned to court during Foo Fighters’ Australian tour, and has since reflected on the incident.
While performing at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium in December, Dave told fans his arrest came after he had been drinking “shots” during a day of sightseeing.
“I was on one of those Big Day Out tours. I was on a motorbike that took me to the Gold Coast so I could go to Sea World and drink some fucking blue drinks,” he said while on stage.
‘I was supposed to be on vacation, but I spent all that shit in a fucking jail cell with a guy in a Primus t-shirt who wouldn’t stop snoring.’
Dave revealed that his cellmates were big fans of his music and that they all made friends during the wild turn of their Australian holiday.
“Everyone in jail was like, ‘Wow, Dave!’ We were on tour with Nine Inch Nails and Primal Scream and I’m the one who ends up in jail. That’s bullshit,” he joked.
In 2021, Dave also described the incident as “embarrassing” and said he has to declare the arrest on his travel declaration form every time he enters the country.
As well as Louise’s dramatic performance Down Under, Dave himself also had a rather wild visit to Australia in 2000 (pictured), which resulted in his arrest.
“I still answer for that every time I come here; every time I have to tick that damn box,” he shared in his memoir The Storyteller: Tales Of Life And Music.
“They take me aside at the airport and I have to tell them the story and they laugh, and then I go get my suitcase. It’s fucking embarrassing.”
“I got thrown in jail for being drunk on a motorbike; it was fun. Ah, the memories. Those were the days. It’s not a bad life,” Dave shared in 2019.
Dave first toured Down Under in 1992 with his former rock band Nirvana and has since been visiting the country regularly since 1995 with the Foo Fighters.
Dave and his Nirvana bandmates Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic performed at a Sydney pub in 1992 before going on to massive global fame.
The group took to the stage for a wild performance in front of around 2,000 fans at the Coogee Bay Hotel just four weeks after reaching Number 1 on the US album charts for the first time.
Dave has since described Australia as his “home away from home” and one of his “favourite places” in the world after 30 years of travelling the globe.
His comments resurfaced after Dave admitted to cheating on his wife of 21 years, Jordyn, 48, and secretly fathering a baby girl on Instagram on Tuesday.
A statement read: “I recently became the father of a new daughter, born out of wedlock. I plan to be a loving and understanding father to her.
‘I love my wife and children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.

Dave and Jordyn met in 2001 and have been married since 2003, sharing three daughters: Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.
His two oldest children deleted their Instagram accounts after their father’s announcement.
Although little is known about his second wife, Jordyn was reportedly working as a producer at MTV when she met the musician.
Jordyn has collaborated with Foo Fighters several times, appearing in the band’s 2002 video for White Limo and co-directing their 2002 music video for Walking a Line.
Dave divorced his first wife, Jennifer Leigh Youngblood, in 1997, after admitting to cheating on her during their three-year marriage.
He had previously said of the union: ‘I was 25, my wife was even younger. We weren’t ready to get married. I miss her so much, she’s the weirdest, funniest person you’ll ever meet in your life.
“Absolutely adorable. It would have been better if we hadn’t gotten married. But you live and you learn.”
Dave had previously hinted that Foo Fighters’ hit song Everlong was inspired by his first wife.
Dave and Jordyn met in 2001 and have been married since 2003. They have three daughters: Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10 (all pictured in February 2023).
He shared: ‘I was breaking up with a girl I’d been with for a while, so I was in the middle of an intense emotional period.
“And for some reason, the emotion or the feeling that I had when I played this succession of chords somehow touched on that emotion.
‘So because of the emotional place I was in, I started writing the lyrics for this song and it comes from a real place.’
Foo Fighters’ first single, This Is A Call, was written during the couple’s honeymoon in 1994 in Dublin, Ireland.
Dave met his second wife, Jordyn, at the Sunset Marquis Whiskey Bar in West Hollywood in 2001 and they married at their Los Angeles home on August 2, 2003.
The musician, who has often been described as a “family man,” has spoken about the importance of his family in interviews over the years.
