Embarrassing Moment The Channel 10 presenter is caught on camera as he waits at the Grand Prix gala
The Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix has kicked off in Melbourne and with that comes the glamorous parties.
While many celebrities hope to be invited to glitzy events, some may have gone out of their way to get involved.
That seems to be the case for Tim McDonald, host of Channel 10’s The Cheap Seats, who said the only reason he was at the star-studded Glamor on the Grid party on Wednesday was because he was working as a bartender.
However, the funny man was only joking and was actually there on his own merit, despite his presence in black and white.
During a segment in Studio 10, presenter Angela Bishop pulled Tim aside telling him he looked “too charming”.
Tim McDonald, host of The Cheap Seats, joked to Angela Bishop that the only reason he was at Wednesday’s star-studded Glamor on the Grid gala was because he was working as a bartender.
Tim joked, “Thank you, I’m one of the waiters tonight, was it an espresso martini?” Sorry Angela, I forgot your request.

Some of Australia’s biggest socialites have turned out in droves for the fabulous Grand Prix parties.
The party week kicked off on Wednesday night with the Glamor on the Grid event at Melbourne’s Albert Park arena.
Among those in attendance who walked the red carpet were AFL star Mark Murphy and his wife Jessie, WAG Bec Judd, The Block’s Sharon Johal and former Miss Universe Maria Thatil.
Olympic swimmer Emily Seebohm, former Miss Universe Olivia Molly Rogers, and Anna McEvoy of Love Island also participated in the star-studded event.
