The moment a massive fight broke out between drunken footy fans and the police, it was recorded on camera.

The riot started when the security team tried to expel six men from the Greater Western Sydney and Collingwood competition at the Melbourne MCG on Saturday.

The video obtained by 9News, the violent outbreak shows itself unfolding after one of the men threw a drink at a guard in the Olympic gallery around 6:30 pm.

More police went into capsicum spray to subdue aggressive revelers while other footy fans pushed and pushed the police as they jumped in to take part in the action.
